I hate pop culture. For now, at least. We'll see what the year 20xx
brings. I might like it then.
Books: I like postmodernism and I like short stories. I thought
Murakami Haruki was some stupid fad, and then I read one of his
books and really identified with literature for the first time in
my life. That was nice. And so is HP and the Methods of
Rationality, and so is sleeping upside down in my bed when I can't
get to sleep properly every other night. Kafka and Miranda July are
pretty nice too. The three of us can relate.
Movies: I pirate a lot (a lot a lot) of movies. Always interesting
ones, and sometimes good ones.

::The Science of Sleep (2006);
::Me and You and Everyone We Know (2005);

This short film encapsulates everything I care about in art, I
Anime? tion? Jinrui wa Suitai Shimashita? Shinsekai Yori? The Time

Japan? + probably 40 other things that are okay and probably 20
other things that are not-so-okay.
And of course Miyazaki and friends.
I used to download a lot of Japanese TV dramas when I was younger.
Now I throw up.
Normal people shows? Bored to Death, True Detective, Fringe,
Firefly, The Office, Parks and Recreation, The Eric Andre Show, and
wait that last one is not normal nevermind.
Music: I really like electronic music. Venetian Snares, The
Flashbulb, Squarepusher? The Quick Brown Fox, t+pazolite, Round
Wave Crusher? DJ Technorch, Aural Vampire, 232COMIT? And then a
bunch more Japanese doujin music that no one has ever heard of and
especially doesn't care about.
I also probably spend too much time listening to my own music.
Games: Music games in general. Good story games. Obligatory Portal

Food: I'm pro at cooking a billion different kinds of vegan
When I went out to eat in Japan, I would usually go to this small
Indian restaurant down the road. The owner would often smile at me
and then I would smile back and then I would eat my curry and then
I would go home and then I would sit in the dark by myself.
