My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
I really like music, reading, movies, TV, and pop culture in general. I have six tattoos. One of them is of Macaulay Culkin. Yes, really. Where, you ask? It's a portrait, on my arm. What's that? No, I'm not crazy. I'm offended that you'd say so.

I used to make my living managing at a pizza joint. I also go to school, as a theater major. I actually just went back to the pizza castle, and had to take a demotion to do so. Meaning, I'm not the manager anymore. I'm so bitter about it. (Not really.)

I really like films and acting. I also really like comedy. Stand-up, improv, podcasts, all kinds. I do lots of videos and sketches and things with my friends. I have a sketch show that I do on public access. I'm hoping to make movies for a living someday. What I mostly do, though, is write. Plays and screenplays, mainly. This semester I have to write two of them. Oof.

I like to think I'm funny. I'm definitely mild-mannered. I don't really raise my voice at people. I actually don't really fight with people in general. I think that's a good thing. Sometimes I like to go off the grid for a bit and be on my own, kind of like recharging. I'm most definitely an introvert.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
Playing shows with my bands Heavy Breath and Dagwood. I'm the singer in the former and the drummer in the latter. I can also play guitar and bass. On top of that, I write electronic music. I really, really like synths. I've been writing a new screenplay for months and barely have ten pages written. But I love writing, so that's what I'm pursuing. So far, I've done a couple short films and plays and I write and perform videos and sketches and things. Right now I'm working on getting better at that. I'd love to write for, or be in, a TV show. I'm writing a movie, which I'd like to make in the next year. That's pretty much the ultimate dream. I went to the University of New Haven. I was a political science major, but I came to realize I have no real interest in doing that. I left UNH to pursue film/television, it's one of the only things I can really see myself doing for the rest of my life. Now I'm going to Purchase College, doing what I actually want to be doing.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
Playing music. I'm a funny person. I'm a good writer. I'm not full of myself, I've just done enough of those things to know that I have a talent for them. I've booked some shows that have done well and made some things that I think are funny. I do well in school, which is surprising seeing as I was a trainwreck in high school. I guess somehow I was able to pull myself together in the two years I took off between high school and college.
The first things people usually notice about me

I do not know, you'd have to ask them. Probably my rock-hard abs, or the fact that I resemble a more-attractive Ryan Gosling. Probably both of those things.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Help your potential matches find common interests.
Books: Bret Easton Ellis, Bukowski, Hunter S. Thompson, Vonnegut, Anthony Burgess, John Irving, etc. Lately I've been on a kick where I just read books about showbiz.

Music: Punk, hardcore, indie; think Black Flag, Modest Mouse, Converge, The Beach Boys, The Smiths, Quicksand, Bright Eyes, Iron Age, Electric Youth, 108, David Bowie, Cold Cave, RATM, The Beach Boys, Refused, Queens Of The Stone Age, Desaparecidos, Kavinsky The Suicide File, Iggy Pop, College, At The Drive-In, Glassjaw, Morrissey, Wavves, Cave In, Cursive, Brand New, Puerto Rico Flowers, etc. I also have a huge soft spot for 80s synth pop. And modern synth pop. Anything synth, really. Also that Frank Ocean record is pretty fucking good. Oh, and Yeezus. Yeah, I like Yeezus, whatever.

Movies: As far as directors go, I really like Harmony Korine, Gus Van Sant, Christopher Nolan, Stanley Kubrick, Larry Clark, Quentin Tarantino, Soderbergh, Von Trier, Haneke, Paul Thomas Anderson, etc. Films like Boogie Nights, Kids, The Rules Of Attraction, Gummo, There Will Be Blood, Pulp Fiction, Blue Valentine, Drive, Dogtooth, The Assassination Of Jesse James By The Coward Robert Ford, The Prestige, My Own Private Idaho, Magnolia, Blue Valentine, A Clockwork Orange, Another Day In Paradise, Afterschool, etc. Officially gay for Gosling.

TV: I love TV. I watch way too much of it. Some of my favorites are Game Of Thrones, Breaking Bad, Skins, The Office, The Good Wife, Parks and Recreation, Community, Mad Men, It's Always Sunny, Portlandia, Homeland, Arrested Development, The Walking Dead, The Wire, The Shield, Girls, Community, Damages, Party Down, The OC, Louie, etc. Way too many to list. I once wrote down every TV show I had watched every episode of and it was embarrassingly long. Like, so long that I almost capitalized the word "embarrassingly".

Comedy: I am pretty much the definition of a comedy nerd. I really like Louis CK, Marc Maron, Pete Holmes, David Cross, Zach Galifianakis, etc. I also love listening to comedy podcasts in my car, and watching sketch comedy like SNL, The State, Mr. Show, and the Upright Citizens Brigade.

Food: I'm a vegetarian. I would be a vegan if I didn't love milk and cheese so much. I don't mind if you eat meat, as long as you're open to going to awesome veg places like China Pan with me. I actually, in a weird way, really respect meat eaters who are able to just say, "Yeah, eating meat is really awful but I don't care."
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
Music, friends, sex, some form of transportation, my computer, film. Cigarettes used to be on that list. I used to smoke a pack and a half every day. I really have no idea how I stopped.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
Consciousness. The nature of the human mind. How our past guides our future, and whether or not it should. I swing back and forth between being a cynical asshole who thinks the world is a pit of suffering and being a sunny optimist who thinks the world is a place of transcendent beauty.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
Hanging on my own (I like my alone time), playing or watching a gig, or watching TV or a movie (either by myself or with friends). Maybe I'd be playing video games. I didn't play between ages ten and twenty, but then I got an Xbox 360 and now I'm hooked, even though I should probably be writing those plays that have drafts due... Don't remind me.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
There may or may not be naked pictures of me out there on the internet, somewhere. I just hope you can't find them by googling my name.

You're into similar shit as me. You shouldn't message me if you're batshit crazy. Or maybe you should. I kind of like crazy.
