My self-summary
Hi there, Gentlemen.
"To look at a thing, is quite different from seeing a thing. One does not see anything, until one sees its beauty"-Oscar Wilde.
Sometimes, wisdom comes from the most extraordinary places, don't you think?.
I am not a conventional beauty. I am not a muscled god, tall and lean, or chiseled of feature. I am, however, a handsome man, full of beauties both outer and and inner, for those who bother to take the time to see, not just look.

I'm a terrific guy, from the evidence of those around me and their opinions, and in my own humble estimation. I'm smart, funny, deeply kind, concerned about the world, curious, creative, very, very talented, and open to finding one (or more) wonderful people with whom to share my life.
I am passionate about the life of the mind, and of sensual experience. And by that I mean far more than just romps in the bedroom. I mean too, the sensuality of the sky, of good food, of involved and sometimes contentious conversation, of the smell of wet leaves and dry earth, of the pleasure of giving and receiving, openly, with others. In short, the experience of being alive, fully.

I'm not going to give you a laundry list of likes and such, we can discover those things as time progresses. Besides, a lot of that is revealed in the substance of this profile, should you care to go further.
What I’m doing with my life
Currently, I am a retail manager at a store in the Castro district of San Francisco. I am also a designer and maker of costumes, as a side business, and a sometime artist, working with textiles, and other media.
I get out into the world as often as my schedule permits, doing cultural stuff, hanging with friends, hiking when I can, and generally exploring this amazing place we call home.
I’m really good at
I'm great at conversation, cooking, entertaining, making people feel welcome. I'm also a wonderful designer, artist and creator of things. And in the bedroom, well, you'd be hard pressed to find a more passionate and considerate partner. And as a side bar, I'm more of a top bunk kinda guy, though because of my height and demeanor, people often assume the reverse.
I'm also a wicked great dancer, can sing a mean song, and am the one people go to with their troubles, because I can and do, really listen.
The first things people usually notice about me
My great smile, happy demeanor, and ready wit. Oh, and the kilts. I'm always wearing a kilt.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
The sci fi novels of Jack McDevitt, I have a very wide ranging taste in film, Project Runway, almost any music with the exception of violent or abusive rap, and food? Well, I've never met a cuisine I didn't like.
The six things I could never do without
My friends, my art, books, my busy hands, trees, lovingness
I spend a lot of time thinking about
I spend a lot of time in a place I call Gratitudeland. I have a seemingly endless number of things to be grateful for, and few things that are troublesome, in my life.
On a typical Friday night I am
Out enjoying time with friends somewhere.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I used to be crushingly shy. Sorry, its the only thing that comes to mind just now.
I’m looking for
  • Guys who like guys
  • Ages 40–60
  • Near me
  • Who are single
  • For new friends, long-term dating, short-term dating, casual sex
You should message me if
1:You're not challenged by my kilt wearing status. 2:You like being out of the standard box, yourself. 3:You find the number of gay men who insist on describing themselves as "masculine", (whatever that actually means) as rather limiting/dismaying. 4: You find the idea of a long evening spent over a great meal, good wine, and involved conversation, ending up in some passionate grappling, appealing.
