I also enjoy doing outdoorsy stuff too like camping, bonfires, amusement parks, snowboarding, downhill skiing, rollerblading, hiking, swimming and water parks, among other things. I have virtually no fear when it comes to heights or going fast, so I'm game for just about anything. I'm not much of a team sport person any more but I would be willing to play a pickup game of whatever depending on who I'm with at the time.
I also play a bit of guitar once in a while. I'm not the best player, but I can rock out a few metallica tunes, patience by gnr, and a few other riffs here and there. I also enjoy singing although again, I'm not the best singer. I mostly do it for myself at work or at home when no one is around. I was really big into guitar and music all throughout elementary and high school and have performed on stage a number of times, mostly in elementary school, and have even sang in a choir in the kiwanis music festival.
Ok, back to some of the mote geeky stuff. I can build a computer from components, setup and manage a small network, and use a Linux/GNU based OS called Ubuntu on my desktop pc. If you own an iPhone, I may poke fun at you or Apple on occasion, just warning you :P lol. I'm an Android fan and own an HTC phone. I also enjoy bashing Microsoft lol.
Ummmm, what else... oh I know religion. I've pretty much been a buddist since high school although not in any strict sense. I don't meditate frequently or do yoga, but I'm game if I meet the right person. I'm more of a buddist in a philosophical manner rather than in practice. I don't follow buddist or any other practices but I do really enjoy helping people and enjoy talking about the concepts. Not just Buddhism either. I love reading new agey type stuff and have read about everything from Buddhism to taoism, Zen, witchcraft and wicca, palmistry, the zodiac, out of body experiences, the power of the mind, Edgar Casey, remote viewing, modern day satanism(trust me its not what you think it is) and anything else I could get my hands on. 2 of my favorite book series are the Celestine Prophesy series by James Redfield and also the Journeys Out of Body series by Robert Monroe. Bonus points for any girl who knows what hemi-synch is lol. I also enjoy conspiracy theory type stuff but I'm not all Hung up on it, I just like reading about it and talking about them, just for fun. I don't take much of it very seriously, including the new age and Buddhist stuff, but just like considering the possibility of some or all of it being true. Philosophical conversations are more fun when you have an open mind to such things :)
Holy crap this is getting long, lol. I guess its worth it though, the more I tell people about me the more likely I am to find that special someone I'm looking for, right? Right then, let's carry on :P.
I also like sci-fi. Star wars, love it. Matrix, love it. Lord of the rings? Good the first time but too freaking long. Harry Potter, love it. Pretty much anything with Keanu Reeves, love it. Also tv, Stargate Atlantis and Stargate Universe, great shows but I could never get into the sg1 series. I've recently been introduced to Dr Who after finding out Torchwood was a spinoff, love Dr Who so far and Torchwood was really good too. I also loved Game of Thrones and can't wait for the next season to come out.
As much as I enjoy tv shows, I don't normally watch them on tv per say, lol. For years now I've have my tv hooked up to my pc and use a wireless mouse and keyboard to surf from either my couch or my bed, depending on my living situation at the time. As such, I usually watch tv series after the season has ended, one episode after another on my pc/tv. This way there is no commercials and no waiting 1 or 2 weeks for the next episode and no tv schedule to follow, I watch at my leisure. Click, click, click, wait 45 seconds aaannd play, lol.
Ok, I think that's enough for now, but ill be back later if I think of anything else. Questions? Feel free to send me a message and ill try to get back to you as soon as I can.
