I am a Texan by choice originally from NM. I tend to miss the mountains and snow but love seeing bluebonnets along the road.

I am very family oriented coming from a large family but I guess that's part of the deal being hispanic and all. :) I have a daughter who is the light of my life. She is very active and verbal and keeps me on my toes.

I enjoy going out but I don't go clubbing. My family is musically talented and so I like to go listen to them and their bands or go with them to hear other bands. I like going to dinner and a movie but staying home is also nice.

I could never live on an island because I like to get in my car and drive with no destination planned out.

I am a fan of sports. I love the Cowboys and can remember proudly wearing my shirt when they only won 1 game in a season. I like the Mavericks, Rangers, and Stars in that order.

Humor, honesty, and compassion are important traits for people to have. You have to be able to laugh at the things that happen in life and then deal with people honestly and compassionately.

I am a teacher and find my job very rewarding. I'm always looking for ways to improve my teaching. I spend a lot of time at school because I head up a lot of special activites to engage the children. I like to volunteer for Special Olympics and other charities that help special needs children.

I have quite an eclectic taste when it comes to books, movies, music, and food.

I like all types of movies except horror movies. Just a few of my favorites are: Office Space, The Godfather (all), Men of Honor, Man on Fire, Dirty Dancing, Lean on Me, Pretty Woman, Forrest Gump, Urban Cowboy, Conair, and Shawshank Redemption

I read all types of books. During the school year I'm reading educational material but during the summer I read more fiction. This past summer I read the Twilight series in seven days. It reminded me of books I read in high school and I can understand why so many young girls are into the series.

I listen to all kinds of music: pop, tejano, old school rap, classical, rock, country, etc.

I like the usual: Mexican (homemade), Asian, and Italian cuisine. A good steak and baked potato is always nice.

I am very open minded and always willing to try new things.
