My Notes edit

My self-summary

I'm just a guy who's living in Champaign, Illinois looking to meet new people, and perhaps a special someone. I like to hang out with my friends, play video games, or just chill out watching some TV. I'm always trying to find new things to do, or new experiences.

I feel I've found the right place between youthful imagination, and adult responsibility. I daydream, I fantasize, I romanticize at times, but at the same time I take my job professionally, I focus on my goals and I always strive to be the man I want to be. This allows me to have a little more fun than the average guy, and to always try to look for the best in life.

I have picked up the hobby of photography. So I'm always taking pictures. Great for memories, and great for showing other people.

I recently have been introduced to geocaching from a new friend and have found it to be exciting. If you don't know what geocaching is, ask!

What I'm doing with my life

I'm a programmer by trade. More specifically I work at a large video game company, which is like the "dream job" of programmers. You know what? It is. I love the work I love everything about the job. Only flaw? I miss the coast (sushi fan here).

I've moved quite a bit in my life as well, I've lived in Connecticut, Boston, Massachusetts, and Orlando, Florida.

I'm really good at

having fun, planning events (even though I rather just attend, I usually am the one setting things up), taking pictures, finding something unique to do, seeing something special.

Overall, just I'm good at enjoying life, no matter what gets thrown my way, I'll find something to smile about.

My favorite books, movies, music, and food

Books: anything by Orson Scott Card, but especially the Ender and Ender's shadow series, Chuck Palahniuk, and Michael Crichton (already missing him). I also have been meaning to finish up the Frank Herbert collection of Dune and maybe go to some of his son's work. I'm also disappointed about the loss of Douglas Adams.

Movies: I'm not a movie goer. I rather watch shows like 24 or Lost than watch a long movie. But Dark Knight is one of the last I saw. I do love action movies with a story, and I thought Dark Knight did a fantastic job. Blazing Saddles and other Mel Brooks movies are some of my favorites. However my all time favorite movie is The Graduate. Nothing beats that.

Music: Checking out my ipod, I tend to see the names Ayumi Hamasaki, Utada Hikaru, Groove Coverage, Cascada, Trans-Siberian Orchestra and Naoki Maeda with all his pseudonyms.

And I do have a couple classical songs on my ipod, the best in my opinions are Canon in D minor (by Johann Pachelbel) and In the Hall of the Mountain King by Edward Grieg, but there's many more I can listen to.

Food: Prime rib, Sushi, Boston Pizza (Regina's pizzeria). Basically any foreign cuisine interests me. I love to cook, but hate to only cook for myself, so I'm always looking to share. I'll eat anything with a little kick or good flavor.

Video games: System Shock is the greatest game ever made, Link to the Past is the greatest console game ever made. Zelda is the finest series, or couldn't you guess where my name is from? Bioshock is the best current gen game, and Saints Row 2 is the game I'm proud to have worked on.

The six things I could never do without

I guess there's two answers.

What I actually carry with me. A cell phone, my D-SLR (And maybe a point and shoot) camera, a wallet, an ipod, my car, and I guess my camera bag.

Ok in general Football (only sport I really watch), Video games (I chose my job because my work is now my hobby, so it's a twofer), a camera, my dog (Shih Tzu if you want to know), my ipod (for my music) (still), sleep.

I spend a lot of time thinking about

Just daydreaming. I have a very active fantasy, and I love to just imagine outlandish things.

On a typical Friday night I am

Probably hanging out with a friend, grabbing a drink because it's what we do. I don't have a particular Friday night, but I like to try different things.

The most private thing I'm willing to admit here

Oh and I like the Lolcats, and loldogs, that might be embarrassing, but those animals crack me up.

You should message me if

You know any of the bands mentioned in my favorites (apparently they're ultra rare)

Or if you just want to see my flickr site.

Or if you know how to play chess.

Hell, just take a chance and do it.
