My self-summary

Kingreaper is a name I've stuck with far beyond the days when it truly suited who and what I was. It was, and is, the perfect sort of name for a young computer gamer who wants to sound kinda cool and original. It is not the name most people would want on a dating site. It's not really the one I want. But I've been on the intertubes as a character long enough that I've grown attached to it. And you know what, it's a name I'm comfortable with. Other names I've been known by have all been either simply weird (LordStanco back in the days of playing Neopets) or, well, simply weird (Flibbertygibbet on wikipedia)

It just seems right to stick to one identity in the world where my real name is not the right one to use. More honest somehow. And honesty is something I value. Also, the alternative, Ringkeeper, sounds somewhat foreboding on a dating site :p

Now onto things that actually matter, and cut the blather:

I'm not always consistent in all respects, but while I may fluctuate from active to slow, I always appreciate the company of interesting people, and the seeking of interesting facts.

I don't believe in lying to people I care about. Ever; but especially when it is phrased as being "for their own good". If I care about someone I should never need to lie to make them feel good about themself, and if I do I should know enough to realise that lying will only make them feel worse later.

I don't like writing many paragraphs beginning with I.

I really can't think of another way to do this though.

Well, except for using the third person.

Kingreaper wants YOU to read this without laughing.

Maybe leaving it there would be for the best :-)

What I'm doing with my life

Studying Physics at the University of Manchester. I'm considering going for a part-time job, but I don't want to squeeze out the social life.

I'm really good at

Passing exams I shouldn't stand a chance at. Explaining things I don't understand until I've finished explaining them. Going to sleep at sunrise; or after. Replacing sleep with Coke (a-cola, I've never needed a stronger stimulant) Being perfectly honest. thinking too much

I spend a lot of time thinking about

How to relate to people. Whether I'm achieving my aims in life. What my aims in life actually are. What I actually want from relating to human beings.

I don't spend much time thinking about what to put in these text-boxes. That may explain why they are woefully inadequate.

On a typical Friday night I am

Drinking with friends. Generally start off chilled, and see what we all feel like doing.

Often end up clubbing, but almost as often end up just chilling in a flat, chatting and relating.

The most private thing I'm willing to admit here

I stole blu-tac from my parents at around age 8, and never told anyone until now.

Well, actually, until the first time I put this up here. Apparently it didn't take.

(I find it slightly annoying when people claim that they can't fill out this section. If you'll put anything on your profile, some part of it must be the most private part; if you can't pick, flip a coin, roll a die, or use an RNG of however many possible states as needed)

You should message me if

you think you and I could get on as friends.

Indicators that that could be the case include: You have plans for a zombie apocalypse. You enjoy learning new things. You've got geek cred out the wazoo. Honesty is preferred to pleasantry. You'd never laugh at the misfortune of others, except when it's funny :-)

But none of those are required.
