.I'm a bizarre combination of hopeless cynic and hopeless romantic,
still entirely too generous for my own good. I am a huge geek.
D&D, other roleplaying games, video games...all my bag.
I tend to conflict in a lot of ways...the previously mentioned
cynicism and idealism, and my political/social views.
I am intellectual, introverted, and curious
What I’m doing with my life
Currently, I work a decent retail job that I enjoy...my goals in
life are simplistic and frankly not very ambitious. I want to have
a job that I can at least tolerate if not enjoy, make enough money
to live modestly by myself (or ideally with a long-term significant
other), and that's really it. I want a laid-back, casual existence.
I don't need a ton of money (though it'd be nice), I don't need
status symbols like a nice car or whatever.
In the end, like I said, not terribly ambitious. Just want to live
happily and comfortably, which doesn't require much.
I’m really good at
English. I like to write and fancy myself fairly good at it, and I
have a knack for using the English language in esoteric albeit
completely legitimate ways.
I have a frighteningly good memory for a lot of the things I
enjoy...it's both amusing at sad.
Video games...except first-person-shooters.
The first things people usually notice about me
The way I talk. I tend to use archaic (see?) or otherwise obscure
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
I don't so much have favorite books as authors: Robert Jordan, J.K.
Rowling, Stephen Hunter, Clive Cussler, and George Orwell
Music: I'm into hard rock and heavy metal, mostly, but I have a
soft spot for most 80's music and a smattering of favorite songs
from almost all genres. Don't really like rap/hip-hop/R&B or
country much though.
Movies: Boondock Saints, Iron Man, Batman Begins and The Dark
Knight, the Transporter, Fight Club, Equilibrium...mostly an action
movie kinda guy.
Food: I like anything red meat. Steak, hamburgers, etc...I tend
towards salty and spicy foods in general. I'd eat sushi a lot more
were it not for my allergy to fish, but I like cucumber rolls.
The six things I could never do without
1: Companionship. Not necessarily in the romantic sense, but I like
to be around friends and people I like.
2: Food. Sounds obvious, but I get cranky if I go hungry for too
3: My senses and my wits. Nothing terrifies me more than the
thought of losing my ability to hear, see, taste and touch. I want
to be able to experience the world around me, even if it's a very
defined and limited "world"
4: Hope. I am ridiculously cynical and pessimistic, but I maintain
a little sliver of hope, always, that keeps me going.
5: My bed. I loves my sleep.
6: My dreams.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
This can really run the gamut...anything from world affairs to
politics to my more "nerdy" interests...roleplaying games, video
On a typical Friday night I am
Often at home with a book or a game controller of some variety in
my hand. I do like to go out every now and then, but I am not
really much of a party person.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I do not, nor have I ever had, a driver's license.
You should message me if
If you are intrigued by what you've read, and are seeking either a
friend or potentially more serious relationship. I much prefer
women who are willing to make the first move...massive bonus points
to any who do.
