My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
I had a very detailed and verbose profile but I don't really like it anymore, so here are a few of the important things to know about me.

I am first and foremost a mother. I love my daughter more than anything. Her father and I separated 4 years ago, and it has been just her and me ever since.

I am extremely ambitious and driven. I am a high school English teacher, and I am a full time graduate student at UNCC.

I am very sarcastic and I love to laugh. It is really hard to offend me.

I have recently become addicted to the gym. I never thought I'd be the kind of person who misses it after a day, but there is something amazing about how strong I feel there. It's almost magical.

I am very family oriented. My brothers, mother, and sister-in-laws are my best friends.

I'm very upfront and kind of blunt 95% of the time. I do understand the importance of tact though.

I am really friendly and open minded. If there is something you want to know all you have to do is ask.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
I'm a high school English teacher focusing on getting my M.A.T and raising my daughter alone.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
cooking, writing, acting, conversation, finding reasons to procrastinate, picking out awesome movies, last minute lesson planning and being quick witted.
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
my eyes and warm smile for those who bother to look above the neck. Those who don't may notice other outlining features of my figure. <_<...>_>
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Help your potential matches find common interests.
Books: Happiness TM, Fight Club, Brave New World, Enders Game, Good Omens, Wicked, anything by Hemingway, Flannery O'Connor or Nabakov, and poetry by Ted Kooser, Billy Collins and Sylvia Plath. Being a high school English teacher I do indulge in the teenlit phenomenon. Divergent was an amazing series and I love TFIOS. Also, The Hunger Games trilogy and I love reading the Wizard of Oz to my daughter.

Movies: Pulp Fiction, Meet Joe Black, True Romance, Walk the Line, Memento, Law Abiding Citizen and so many more it's hard to count.

Shows: Sons of Anarchy, Glee, Revenge, Game of Thrones, True Detective, Criminal Minds, Snapped, Under the Dome, Supernatural, Shameless, Hells Kitchen and (shamefully) Big Brother.

Music: Dave Mathews Band, One Republic, Nirvana, Aerosmith, Linkin Park, The Fray, Oasis, Sara Barielles, Anna Nalick, Drake, and Miranda Lambert.

Food: Fresh foods like Salads or a really good sushi roll.
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
1. Evelyn, my daughter
2. Pen and Paper
3. Music
4. Used Book Stores
5. Black Eyeliner
6. My students

Things I wish never crossed my path:
1. The movie "I Know Who Killed Me"
2. High School AP Chemistry
3. Long red lights at 4 am
4. Houses that don't come with a dishwasher
5. Self-absorbed men
6. People who don't spell out words properly (u for you, 2 for to)
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
How to reach apathetic students and make puritan writers like John Milton interesting. Ways to encourage and inspire my daughter. My short comings and my successes. Ways to grow
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
Normally it's movie night with Evie.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I'm not nearly as brave as I seem.

Offer a few tips to help matches win you over.
You are open to meeting new people, love to laugh and are not an asshole. If you are seeking a damsel-in-distress, someone to share your drama with, or your next FB [fill in your own definition] then you should really just move along. I'm not interested in any of those things.
