Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
Wind fills the sails and the boat responds by putting her shoulder
down and bounding forward, as if filled with the same excitement
and anticipation we feel for what’s ahead. We revel in the peaceful
exhilaration of being propelled forward by nothing but the wind,
waves and love. The shoreline slides by, towns, wilds, old ruins,
and islands that beg to have their history discovered. Birds wheel
above, dolphins play in our wake and seals bark for position on the
buoys that mark our passage. As the day winds down, we find a quiet
cove to drop the anchor, cook a delicious meal together and settle
in as the sky turns to wine, and the wine becomes hot chocolate.
Snuggling under a blanket, rocked gently by the waves, we share our
dreams with the stars. In the morning, we slip the kayaks over the
side for a quiet paddle while the birds and shore life wake to
another beautiful day. Then we get to plan our next step; shall it
be the little town with the nice farmer’s market, the marina with
loaner bikes, an island hike or a large city? The world is ours to
explore. Join me on this adventure and a hundred more.
Hi, I’m John, and that’s the kind of stuff I like to do. Ride a
bike, motorcycle, ski, snorkel, camp, visit a museum, see a band,
bbq at home, travel near and far, and sail…lots of sailing. I crew
on race boats here in SD, and have a small cruiser in San
Francisco… not to brag (I’m not rich), but I really do trips like
the above, sailing around the bay and beyond, and I’m looking for
someone to experience it all with (that‘s the part that’s a
I’m a regular guy, honest, caring, sensitive and intelligent with a
quick wit. Not afraid of PDA’s, or communicating my feelings. An
engineer, so a bit of a nerd, but also a bit of an artist, poet,
inventor, maker and occasional clown – sometimes even on purpose!
And I want it all; someone to go out with, travel with, and come
home to, a friend, lover, partner and confidant. Maybe that’s a lot
to expect from an internet site. Let’s start as friends, and wee if
we have the spark to become ‘friends on fire’.
