I feel like I'm from another era. I'm beautiful, but not by today's standards. It seems that older men are much more appreciative of my appearance and tastes, but I'm cursed with an affinity for fellows my age or younger. I don't want to say much about my music or dvd collection, because I feel that there is so much more to a connection between a man and a woman than similar tastes in pop culture, but I have found that many tend to judge others by what is on their iPod as opposed to what is in their heart. I'm virtuous, which makes it very difficult for me to find dates in this debauchery-ridden society. That isn't to say that I'm a prude or a square, but I'm a very light drinker, not at all into drugs, and I'm very odd in that I feel the need to become emotionally intimate with someone before physical intimacy follows suit. For this, I am often ditched after the third date when I don't play by the unspoken "third date rule." Nothing thrills me more than learning something new, be it a language, a skill, or a useless bit of trivia, and I am not above admitting what I don't know. One would never learn a thing if he went through life nodding along to foreign concepts. I value conversation and have been told that I am approachable and tend to put people at ease. This is a blessing as well as a curse. I'm independent to a fault, which is highly off-putting to men who have a strong desire to take care of a woman. That doesn't mean that I'm at all cold or callous. In fact, I am extremely warm-hearted and possess a "little girl" quality that is very misleading. Mind you, I did not engineer this quality in a conscious effort to mislead, it is simply my outward characteristic, which is unfortunately the utter antithesis of my inner psyche. I'm not romantic, and find romance in every traditional manifestation to be fake. People often make the mistake of attempting to "create" romance, when it is something that will happen naturally and without frills. I have never been this honest in a personal ad before, but I can only hope that being completely blunt will ensure that my future dates are more successful than my past.

My day job is at a post production company in Burbank. As for evenings and weekends, I'm a continuing education junkie, taking classes in acting, cabaret performance, Italian, and then some. I spend my free time writing and enjoying typical hobbies like yoga & pilates. Believe it or not, I do manage to maintain a social life and am always looking to expand my social circles.

I�m a very creative-minded person, so I would have to say that I�m good at anything that involves using the right side of my brain. Writing is probably my strongest suit, although I�ve been known to win my fair share of karaoke contests! I�m a classically trained dancer and former ballet instructor, so it�s safe to say that I move rather well. I'd love to say that I'm a kick-ass actress but I'm not a movie star yet, so I guess that means I suck!

Movies - Breakfast at Tiffany�s, The Dark Crystal, Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind (current favorite), Sideways (just saw it last week and LOVED it), Clerks, Chasing Amy, The Seven Year Itch, Alice in Wonderland... I have lots of favorites.

Music - Ani DiFranco, Chopin, Billy Joel, Cole Porter... I have a lot of these, too.

Foods? Sushi, coffee, blueberry muffins, and dark chocolate... thrown in a blender and made into a smoothie. I'm kidding. I'm actually not all that into food and see it as a necessary evil.
