My self-summary
-I really like being outside.
-I really like working with computers.
-Those two things really contradict each other, but I always have plenty of time for both.

It's spring time, and that means my allergies are killing me! Just about another week or two and it should be all settled. Actually, this year it's not been terrible despite the reports that it's "bad this year".

Spring is when you realize you need to tune up your lawn mower, and make sure your snowblower is all ready for sitting around doing nothing all season.

When I'm not banging at a keyboard or rebuilding an engine, I like to travel and go adventuring. Trips tend to be mostly unplanned and full of fun times. I prefer spending time in one area for a while and using that as 'home base' versus hopping from one place to the next day by day.

I like cooking at home more than eating out, but it is nice to get a well-made meal at a great restaurant that I've never had before so I can figure out how to make it at home.

What's the fun in summarizing one's self in a few paragraphs? This is more like a 'tidbits about me', and then if you got to this point and want to know more, we should chat!
What I’m doing with my life
I'm currently enjoying going running, rock climbing and biking a few times a week (as weather permits), as well as working on business strategies, taking good care of customers, and most of all... programming like a monkey (but not all the time). I also like hiking, backpacking, skiing, and anything else that involves spending time outdoors.
I’m really good at
Juggling, Unicycling, Poi, Being silly, writing Perl
The first things people usually notice about me
That I may, or may not have a scruffy beard.

The six things I could never do without
If this question were taken literally, I should write: Water, Food, Shelter... But that's boring since everyone needs those.

For a list for that would allow for having a lifestyle that I could enjoy, it would be something like: family, travel, nature, books, computers, interwebs.
On a typical Friday night I am
Rock climbing, or maybe programming. Either that or running up some mountain somewhere.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
After numerous relationships, I've decided to abandon the standard idea of dating. Dating for the sake of dating just doesn't seem to be a good way to get to know someone. I would much rather find an awesome activity partner that would lead to a great relationship. If that doesn't work out.. then at the least, I've found a new friend.
I’m looking for
  • Girls who like guys
  • Ages 23–35
  • Near me
  • Who are single
  • For new friends, long-term dating, short-term dating, activity partners
You should message me if
You must be willing to meet in person after a few messages.

Isn't it a huge waste of time to send great messages back and fourth for weeks and then have it fizz out? Wouldn't it be better to send an ice breaker, talk about some life goals, and then get some tea/coffee?

I've found that long duration emailing before meeting makes things bad for the eventual meetup. Given the time, each person will build up a mental image of what the other is like. The more time that is spent messaging, the more detailed the mental image becomes of the other person, and the more likely it is that the image is plain wrong!

Sooo, being that most of us are here because we're single and looking for a date... let's go on a date and see if we like each other.
