My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
Just like pretty much everybody else, I'm WAAAY too unique to be summed up in a few lines on an internet site.

Just throwing in some keywords for now..
Funny, witty, sharp: people often don't like it when they're on the receiving end of my jokes. Then again: most of the time my jokes are about me, so that should even things out.
I love to read - books, magazines, papers, internet, anything. Labels on food will do in a case of emergency.
Independent: I don't like being told what I should or shouldn't do, and I don't like telling others what they should do either. As long as you're happy with what you're doing (and don't try to tell me what I should be doing) I am happy.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
Mostly living it, I thought that that's what it's for?

A bit less cheeky? I'm working as a freelance textwriter for a couple of architecture firms. Although I could use some more business I do love the job. I like writing, I like architecture, and I like the people who work there.

Apart from that: I like to cook, I like food and wine, I love to read, and I don't nearly listen to as much music as I would like.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
Cooking (or did I already say that?), shoot me a message if you want a recipe for a really good coq au vin.
I'm pretty good at being funny without even trying (let's call that a "good thing" for now), people think I'm clever,
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
Urmm... I'm pretty tall, I'm not the type to smile a lot, and I usually wear a jacket. So when people meet me they usually call me "Mister" and "Sir" a lot.
Thankfully that goes away pretty fast once they get to know me a bit.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food

A bit of an omnivore with books. I read a lot of non-fiction, pretty much everything from Terry Pratchett, Umberto Eco, Tom Wolfe..
Music: lots of rock, Tom Petty, Warren Zevon, Leonard Cohen, Tom Waits. Love Rufus Wainwright. Listening to some Justin Townes Earle lately.
Some classic as well, a bit of "concert radio" is nice with dinner.
Food: Italian, French, Spanish.. Right now I'm trying to find a good paella recipe that works for me but I can't seem to get the saffron right, the damn dish keeps turning up red.
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
The sound of seagulls. Seasons. Walking through a city, sitting somewhere looking at people. A good argument every now and then, life should be lived as if it matters. Making a difference: having a real impact somewhere, or really changing people's minds.

Give me a few days and I adapt to living without internet, TV, that sort of thing. Coffee takes me a week or so, and I love my coffee.
But the real stuff? Ow.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
Invisible gorilla's, the shape of squares, how long it's been since I last went to Antwerp.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
I don't really have a typical friday night.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
Someone once offered to pay me for sex.
You should message me if

Let's put it this way: if you want to message me, I think that you should.
