My name is Ken. I was born and raised in Santa Clara (Bay Area) and was brought up with strong values and free thinking. I’ve learned from my family’s hardships and success stories coming from Hawaii and the Philippines. From them and through my own experiences, I have a full understanding of what I need to do and who I need to be. Being a people person helps me adapt well to strangers and making new friends. Most of the time, I try to find humor in things and love a good dose of spontaneity. I have this creative, artistic side that keeps me full of ideas and always thinking ahead. I can be both competitive and laid-back depending on the situation I'm placed in. When it comes to my career, I truly follow that saying . . . "work hard to play hard". When it comes to life, having balance is the key to everything.
On the social tip . . . I divide my weeks between family and friends, but also enjoy some alone time. I love to cook and play bartender (I'm certified). I try to keep active exploring new restaurants, cafes, bars, and concert venues. I enjoy good food with great company and prefer hanging out at places with diverse crowds. 70% of my time is spent in San Francisco which I call my "place of happiness". My taste in music and film are simliar . . . I preserve the classics and promote the underground, indie scene hoping to experience the next big thing before it all becomes commercialized and played-out.
During downtime . . . I've been always involved with sports and outdoor activities. I try to play b-ball and hit the gym regularly. A challenging hike, a mountian bike ride, a random fishing outing, or a 1-3 day camping trip will always bring me back to Earth. I follow the 49ers, Warriors, A's, MMA, and boxing on the real.
