I know what I want out of life, but not what I want to be when I
grow up. Just because I am adult in years, doesn't mean that I have
to be "grown up". I like to have fun with good friends, go out for
dinner, a movie, or to take part in some special event. Working out
is a big part of my life as it keeps me healthy mentally and
physically. A long time spent in a car is unproductive and
unpleasant unless I am conversing with someone or listening to a
spoken word book if I am alone.
I still consider myself a newcomer to Columbus (even after 20+ years), and so am very willing to explore new places. Prefer balloons to flowers (allergies); jazz to classical or pop (forget rap); Mexican and Italian foods to Asian (although Thai is pretty nice). I'm not sexist, ageist, or racist. I'm told however that I am opinionated. I value that about myself!
I like people who have opinions and aren't afraid to express them and defend them. I prefer someone who is at least reasonably physically fit, and who doesn't live on junk food. I'm seeking a friend who can be there for me and share life experiences. I like a guy with a strong sense of self and of humor. Looks are nowhere near as important as the ability to hold down one end of an intelligent conversation on a topic other than sports. Good conversation is the most important part of a relationship.
