My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
Welcome, stranger.

I'm a big boy. That is to say I cook my own food; I clean my own house; I take care of my own animals; I do my own laundry. I am not looking for a housewife to take care of me. However, laundry is my least favorite. I'd trade laundry for dishes anyday. Probably even dishes and mowing.

In contrast, I expect you to have a job and be an educated, responsible adult. I am not merely a wallet for you that stays open for the price of sex. I despise those types of relationships.

I'm happy where I'm at in my life right now, but I wouldn't mind having someone to share experiences with. Every week I try a new restaurant in Indy (Bru Burger Bar is my new-found downtown favorite). I frequently explore the state/country and practice my photography. I enjoy taking my dog to different parks. I regularly go rock climbing at Hoosier Heights. And I don't mind the occasional night binging on Netflix.

I am excellent at telling stories (I was in the Navy for eight years), am incredibly easy to get along with, and am an expert at choosing the best food and drink at any establishment (It's easy, just ask the waitstaff).

Thank you for your time! Stay classy.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
Progressing through it at a steady rate. Though I would time travel if given the chance. The real question is would I go forward or backward in time?

I have many hobbies that I seem to cycle through depending on my mood and the season. However, photography is my staple and I'm always practicing that.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
Guessing the correct answer.
Folding T-shirts.
Making eggs. No joke, Gordon Ramsay taught me the most wonderful way to cook eggs and I'm forever grateful.
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
My shaved head. If me being bald is a turn-off, then I'm cool with a wig. Golden locks tend to accentuate my beard.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Help your potential matches find common interests.
Books: I read at least one book a month and tend to stick with fiction. My most recent reads are: The Way of Kings (Books I and II) by Sanderson, The Name of the Wind (Books I and II) by Rothfuss, and Survivor by Palahniuk.

Movies: anything. I prefer movies that make me think (Under the Skin) but don't mind the occasional mindless blockbuster (Edge of Tomorrow). I also enjoy horror as long as it's tasteful.

Shows: Modern Family, Walking Dead, Top Gear, Fringe, Breaking Bad - I don't have a particular genre I stick with.

Music: Alt-J, Blackmill, Lana Del Rey, Glitchmob, Daft Punk, Florence + The Machine, I could go on for days. I love most music.

Food: Food. Yup. I'm not picky, but try to choose healthy.
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
1. The sweet, succinct sound of my camera's shutter.
2. The feeling I get when an animal curls up next to/on top of me and falls asleep.
3. Experiencing a new restaurant with good company.
4. The insight you get into other cultures when traveling abroad.
5. The relaxation brought by a favorite song after a long day's work.
6. The internet. Because, ya know, cat videos and stuff.

Or this if you like dogs better!
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
The universe. I'm incredibly curious about extraterrestrial matters. I want to know what's at the edge of our universe, what existed before the birth of our universe, and whether there are other universes out there.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
Some Friday's I'm perusing an unfamiliar adult beverage list at a random restaurant with close friends, discussing our weekly antics.

Other Friday's I'm making a homemade pizza in preparation to watch a beloved animated classic with my mini me. (I never realized how sexist 60's and 70's Disney was. Wow.)
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I pretend I'm teaching a class when I'm driving. I know, weird.

Also, I have a greyhound named Jean. If you get the reference you will be awarded 10 bonus points!
You should message me if
Offer a few tips to help matches win you over.
Seriously, message me. This is the 21st century and we are all striving for gender equality. This is a social site and being social is a two-way road. Gather up some courage and make the first move!

With that being said, don't message me if your profile pic is a shirtless bathroom selfie. It's distasteful and I may be tempted to judge you on your tits vice your cleverness.

Don't message me if you can't construct a complete sentence or if you are going to use netspeak.

To end on a positive note, message me if you value a fun, witty conversation. Or if you would like some good company with which to explore your city's hidden gems.

Lastly, if you've made it this far, thank you and have a wonderful day!
