My self-summary

I'm..Really, really bad at self-summaries. I'm 24 years old and live in the New Albany area of Indiana. I'm originally from Noblesville, Indiana and miss it every so often. I'm sarcastic, geeky and have recently been converted to the Cult of Joss Whedon. I'm a very live-and-let-live kind of guy. If your particular belief/sexual fetish/favorite muscial genre doesn't harm another living person without their direct consent (assuming that they are over the age of consent), then I think you should do whatever makes you happy, as long as you allow me the same courtesy. Satanism, homosexuality, drugs, reality TV, whatever floats your boat.

Also. The Indianapolis Colts = <3.

I love movies. Love love love movies. I'll go see pretty much anything with enough cajoling (sometimes there will be movies that I'm not thrilled about seeing, but I'll see them anyway because, hey, they're giant moving pictures with sound).

I'm an atheist, but it's mostly because I was brought up in a very "Think for yourself" home. I just don't see religion as that important (my parents were adamant about me thinking for myself and being my own person), so I just kind of ignore it. However, I also understand that it is important to other people, and I respect that, even if I don't understand it.

Oh, and if you're QuickMatching, the name is Kosh_Naranek.

What I'm doing with my life

I currently hold a Bachelor's degree in Film and Video Production from Full Sail in Orlando and am currently looking for work.. I one day hope to be a script supervisor of some sort.

I'm really good at

Scrabble. Seriously, I'm like a walking Thesaurus/Spellchecker rolled into one (though I probably just misspelled thesaurus). I'm also something of a video game player (though not a phenominal one..I finally beat the first Mega Man game four or five years ago, and I've had it since it was first released..Friggin' Guts Man and his friggin' platforms..).

I'm also a halfway decent editor, I'm awesome when it comes to maintaining continuity in a movie, I'm a good public speaker, and I'm excellent at reading a person's emotional state. I'm also told that I'm an awesome date.

The first thing(s) people usually notice about me

That I'm not exactly an example of Olympian-level physique. I'm not fat, just vaguely overweight, despite how hard I try.

That, or the fact that I'm usually laughing at something. I love laughing.

My favorite books, movies, music, and food

A: Sheesh. Where do I begin? I read so much that the managers of my local Waldenbooks *know me by name*. Doug Adams, Terry Pratchett, Timothy Zhan, Julie E. Czerneda, John Ringo, David Weber, Mike Stackpole, Marvel, DC, Star Wars, Discworld, Eric Flint, The Princess Bride, Ringworld, Iain M. Banks..The list goes on and on..

B: The Star Wars movies (all of them. Even the prequels have some redeeming parts to me), Serenity, A Knight's Tale, Stranger Than Fiction, The General (Buster Keaton FTW!), The Day The Earth Stood Still, Donnie Darko, Jurassic Park..Pretty much any good movie ever made. But my two favorites are DEFINITELY "Children of Men" and "The Fountain".

C: I like classic rock, mostly. Queen (Fat Bottom Girls, you make the rockin' world go rounnnnd!), Led Zepplin, David Bowie..Plus, the TRUE classics. Mars is still one of the most powerful musical pieces I've ever heard.

D: I'm a fan of Chinese and Italian, though Americanized stuff also appeals to me. Just don't suggest Mexican..For some reason, I can NEVER find something I like at Mexican restaurants.

E(Other): City of Heroes/Villains (go Virtue server!), Farscape, Babylon 5, Doctor Who, Battlestar Galactica, Lost, Firefly (rest in peace!)..My tastes are varied.

The six things I could never do without

1. Books. 2. Movies. 3. My friends and family. 4. Video games of various sorts (I'm neutral in the ongoing Console Wars..I'll buy a system made by anyone). 5. An unholy thirst for knowledge 6. Freedom of thought.

I spend a lot of time thinking about

Space. Superheroes. Homework. Which movie I'm going to go see next. Whether or not that girl over there likes me. Why can't I get "Mad World" out of my head?

Recently, my mind was seized with the thought that I REALLY wish that I had a Death Star.

Which got me thinking about buying a Death Star on eBay, and how much that would cost.

Which led to me wondering what kinds of ratings the Galactic Empire would get as a Seller.

"SELLER CONQUERED MY PLANET AND ENSLAVED MY PEOPLE. WOULD NOT RECOMMEND!"

. . .Yeah. I'm a bit odd.

On a typical Friday night I am

Either at my apartment watching Battlestar, or out with my friends acting as a designated driver (I don't drink).

The most private thing I'm willing to admit here

Optimus Prime was my hero as a child, and still defines in my mind what a leader should be.

I also specialize in the impossible.

You should message me if

You find any of the above interesting in any way, shape, or form. I'm not completely looking for a relationship right now, but if it happens, Hey, That's Awesome. If not, well, at least I've made a new friend, and that's always cool too.

You know where my chosen name on here comes from.

You don't know, but are deathly interested.

You don't believe that the moon landing was a total hoax.

You have good book selections. Longer books are better, as I can read a 400 page novel in under four hours.

Also, I would prefer you've gone through at least SOME of the whole Filling Out Your Profile rigamarole. I like to know who I'm dealing with, after all!
