Literature: My literary taste ranges all over the scale. I will
just as readily read fiction as I will non-fiction, any subject
that catches my interest. I am an avid reader who devours
books.
Some of my favorite fiction includes: The Sensualist by Barbara
Hodgson, Jitterbug Perfume by Tom Robbins, the entire discworld
series by Terry Pratchett (how does he maintain that level of
humor?), Geek Love by Katherine Dunn, and Jonathon Strange And Mr.
Norrell by Susanna Clarke...
Film: My taste in film can't be categorized easily either. I am
very eclectic in my choices of cinema. The movies that touch me the
most are those that induce an emotional response, positive or
negative.
Some favorites: The Corndog Man, The Princess Bride, Ichi the
Killer, Cannibal the Musical, Fire, The Cabinet of Dr. Caligari,
The Stendhal Syndrome, Le Nain Rouge (The Red Dwarf), Amelie,
Delicatessen, Zombie (Lucio Fulci), Reservoir Dogs, Allegria, The
Brick, Metropolis, Cecil B. DeMented...
Tunes: I have an extensive library of music and quite a variety. I
love to just let my iPod randomly pick for me.
Favorites: Assemblage 23, Apoptygma Berzerk, Beborn Beton, The
Cramps, Atom & His Package, Faith and the Muse, Abney Park,
Lesbians on Ecstasy, Amanda Palmer, The Dresden Dolls, Ani
DiFranco, The Pogues, Patti Smith, The Bastard Fairies, Sleepytime
Gorilla Museum, Charming Hostess, Collide, Concrete Blonde, Das
Ich, Einsturzende Neubauten, Emilie Autumn, Hanzel und Gretyl, The
Legendary Pink Dots, Lunachicks, Loreena McKennitt, Marianne
Faithful, Mindless Self Indulgence, Moi Dix Mois, Oneiroid
Psychosis, Rasputina, Poxy Boggards, Suzanne Vega, Stolen Babies,
Tom Waits, Utah Phillips... there are a lot of favorites missing
from this list, but you get the idea...
Dining: Spice and variety is the key here. I love such complex
combinations that confuse my senses.
Favorites: Vegetarian/ Vegan (although I do try to eat some fish),
Sushi, Japanese, Thai, Indian, Ethiopian, Mediterranean,
Macrobiotic...
