My self-summary Propose an edit

I never know how to start talking about myself; it seems unnatural. I guess I can tell you I am 50 years old, was married for 22 years and I've been a widow for the last year and a half. It's me and my cat for now but hope to meet someone who can appreciate a down to earth, loyal and loving woman with a sense of humor that can sometimes be quirky (don't ask me what that means, but you'll know it when it happens!)

What I'm doing with my life Propose an edit

I'm currently unemployed and doing the interview thing hoping to get lucky;(a different kind of lucky than you're thinking!)
I've completed a lot of home improvements and now have free time on my hands and would like to find other things to challenge me; any ideas?

I'm really good at Propose an edit

I'm really good at taking care of people but don't want it to become a full time job. I'm a great friend and listener and can keep a confidence if need be. I'm also a great support for those I care about both emotionally and physically (you had a fight with your partner? Need help moving? I'm your girl!) I'd like to think I'm a good companion and lover but I don't have references...!

The first thing(s) people usually notice about me Propose an edit

Well, the obvious thing would be my height; I'm 6'1", then my laugh as I'm usually an "up" person and love to laugh. While this seems to be the place to jot down physical attributes, I have blond hair (with a little help from "L'Oreal" highlights) and blue eyes.

My favorite books, movies, music, and food Propose an edit

I'll read anything written by Stephen King, Dean Koontz, Clive Barker (you get the idea)also mysteries and crime novels; especially those based on true stories.
Old black and white films, Hitchcock movies, comedies and chick flicks. Not so much really violent or gory stuff.
I love classic roll & roll, Eagles, Carole King, swing music - pretty open to all but rap and country (and by country I mean lyrics like, "My wife left me, the truck broke down and my dog died...")Some country's okay.

I spend a lot of time thinking about Propose an edit

I try not to think about the past or the future as one is over and there's no "take backs," and the other is not for me to plan.
I think about the day I'm in and try to be as open to possibilities as I can.

On a typical Friday night I am Propose an edit

I could be on a date from this or another site trying to find that "spark" that I know can happen, or I might go to an outdoor concert in the summer, or I may just curl up with the cat and watch TV (although lately I'm hard pressed to find anything worth watching!) In that case I'll read about someone else's adventures.
