I am friendly, silly, and passionate.
My Self-Summary
I'm 27 years old. I'm about 5'7", have brown hair, hazel eyes, and
yes, I'll say it...I'm a big girl. That's right dammit! :) I am
what I am and have never had any complaints in the past. So there
it is. I'm cute with a great sense of humor, warm heart, love of
laughter and life, and try my best to generally have a positive
outlook on things. I'm not high maintenance and I don't do drama.
It's just not my thing. I'm not jealous or katty and don't have a
shopping problem. Overall, I think I'm just a pretty laid back
kinda girl looking for a decent man to lay back with. I enjoy good
movies, music, concerts, playing games (cards, etc.), camping,
fishing and cooking. I was super close to becoming a hunter. Went
and took the safety course and got my license and everything. But
afterward, when it came down to it and I really thought about it, I
just couldn't kill animals. I'll eat 'em. That's for sure. But I
thought I would feel really bad if I killed them myself. I'm very
pro-hunting, just could never bite the bullet. Heh...bullet.
What I’m doing with my life
As of about a year and a half ago, I am an employee with the NYS
DEC in Albany, NY. Yep, state worker. Say what you will about state
workers...most of it is true. :) Never, ever pictured myself as a
cubicle inhabitant, but it is what it is. It's a secure job with
endless upward mobility. Not to mention a decent pension and health
insurance when I retire. Which will probably be when I'm 80, but
that's OK. I started out in restaurants, moved to swimming pools
and hot tubs, and now I work with the administrative end of the
Department of Environmental Conservation. And that's totally OK
with me. For now. Onward and upward.
I’m really good at
I'm pretty good at trivia. There's a wealth of useless knowledge
floating around in this cranium of mine. Don't get me wrong, Mensa
isn't pounding at my door or anything, but I'm a smart chick. I've
been told, and I feel that, I'm good writer. I've always felt that
I'm better in writing than live. Something about finding the
perfect words to really illustrate the exact thoughts flowing
through my head. Makes me feel good when I read something I've
written and am satisfied with all aspects of it. I also think I'm
pretty good at making people laugh. My friends and family laugh a
lot when we visit, so that's a good indicator I think. Wait a
second...maybe they're laughing AT me. ... No, definitely with me.
:) Oh, but probably the one thing that I'm best at, is cooking.
What can I say, I'm a fan. I like to try new things I've seen or
heard of and make changes and improvements to classics. What do I
make the best? I think my homemade BBQ sauce is pretty serious.
Steak, burgers, also tasty. But my cooking ability is one of the
only things I'm confident enough about to say that just about
anything I cook is pretty damn good.
The first things people usually notice about me
I think people notice my smile first. This is probably because
whenever I meet anyone new, I have a smile on my face.
My favorite books, movies, music, and food
Oh my goodness, do we have enough room in this little box?
OK...books...anything Dan Brown, Michael Crichton, Tolkein, mostly
science fiction type books. They tend to grab my interest.
Movies...Fight Club is probably my favorite movie of all time.
Other list toppers include The Lord of the Rings trillogy, Kevin
Smith movies, 300, Magnolia...geez, I know there's more. The
pressure! Maybe I'll add more when I think of them. Music...rock.
Rock rock rock. From early classic rock to metal and lots in
between. Some favorite bands are The Black Keys, Led Zeppelin, Dave
Matthews, Metallica, Pantera, Cake, Tom Petty. I could go on
forever with this one. And food...well, I guess I'm a fan of food
period. I love trying new things. I love thanksgiving dinner and my
Aunt Debbie's homemade mac&cheese. Pork roast with saurkraut is
pretty great. I love mashed potatoes. Potatoes in general really.
Ya think that has anything to do with the fact that I'm both Irish
and German? hmm...
The six things I could never do without
A fan to blow on my face when I'm sleeping, water, oxygen, soap, my
family, and a sense of humor.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Money. Lack of money. Unfortunately. I think a lot of us do that.
Worrying if there's enough for this bill or that. Saving? What's
that? Someday. Just not in a place where it's possible right now. I
spend a lot of time lately thinking about being single. And how I
don't want to be a 45 year old spinster. I realize that this is
probably unlikely (I hope). But still, the thought is there. I
don't even know if I want to ever get married. The thought of
marriage kind of freaks me out a little bit, I'm not gonna lie.
Companionship. Love. That means more to me than a ring and a piece
of paper.
On a typical Friday night I am
Sadly, most Friday nights I'm at my Mom and Sister's house hanging
out talking about how we should go out or something. Movies, TV,
visiting with the fam. Not very exciting.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit here
I had something else here, but it was stupid. haha!
OK, I know...
It's not really private, just a weird, really corny factoid...I'm
kind of a closet fan of America's Next Top Model. It's pretty
ridiculous. The DVR gets involved and everything. heh Oh geez, I
crack myself up...
You should message me if
You should message me if you're a guy who's interested in getting
to know a woman who goes with the flow, enjoys the simple things in
life, and doesn't do drama. I don't play games and I don't like to
get played with. I'm not a wham, bam, thank you ma'am kind of girl.
I'm not interested in random hook-ups or friends with benefits.
That scene just isn't for me. To each his own, but it's just not
me. So if you love music, movies, a cute chick cooking for you ;) ,
camping, fishing, and laughing, gimme a shout.
