My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
Have you seen the movie Thor, with that blonde guy who plays... Thor? Physically, I am so similar to him that we could be twins separated at birth, much like Danny DeVito and Arnold Schwarzenegger were.

Rather than waste one's time with more sarcasm and witticism, I suggest perusing the answered questions if you want to know anything of true substance.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
If you'll bear with me for a moment:

"Name’s Axel. Imma a cat that likes to scamp, sleep, eat, and repeat. You should know that I have a little, yet VERY noticeable gut. Imma seriously sensitive about it. You touch ma gut, Imma mess you up. My favorite fuds are anything. Seriously, I once ate almost a whole thinga pork when he wasn’t watchin’. Damn that was deewishish. Oatmeal gud too. Despite the crippling lack of a positive body image Imma excruciatingly sweet and lap friendly. Unless ya touch ma gut. Seriously, don't even look at it because I will KNEAD THE HELL OUT OF YOU!" (SERIOUSLY!)

"hi! my name Archer! hmmm, let see. i dog firsto all. i like to eat paint chips, drink antifreeze and con... contam... contamiii... nated water. i poo inside from time to time. hmmm, oh yea i luv to consume anything and everything. u gonna use dat toilet paper? nope nope hehehe it mine now. even if u git me a toy to chew on dat dam thing is deeetroyed in like no time! hehehe. i pretty dum dog you guys BUT I LUV TO LAFF!"

"Recently" adopted a dog and cat; I'm trying to make sure they don't eventually deprive me of furniture and socially acceptable attire. In other words, the dog is slowly devouring a couch (gone), and the cat, albeit in the most adorable fashion possible, is plotting to rob me of functional blinds (they survived) and practical pants (shorts it is, then). Annnnnnnd a lamp shade, apparently. Great.

New lamp! Now we play the waiting game.

*clears throat* Anyway...

I had an ongoing lull in life for longer than I would have liked, but now I'm at a point where I'm financially sound and able to finally finish college. I'm pursuing a career at least loosely associated with film and various creative pursuits.

Other than concentrating on education and occasionally forced labor? Searching for some resemblance of contentment, much like everyone else, I suppose. Also traveling here and there whenever such opportunities arise.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
making a lot of obscure movie references. I'm also a pretty good objective judge of worth when it comes to film and television shows.

My knack for recalling random facts about the aforementioned extends to me being able to remember quite a bit about people in my life (i.e., thoughtful and considerate towards friends and family), past experiences, and whatnot. I know a lot about nothing, essentially. Not too sure if this is a thing, but there ya have it.
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
is my good hygiene? Maybe that I look like that guy who was in that movie that was out last year.

Hmmm, I imagine that to most people I must seem like an overly quiet, reserved person. That may be true to a certain extent, but those that know better have deemed me to be rather level-headed and benevolent.

(Now that's a lot of thats.)
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food

The Hobbit, The Adventures of Tintin, The Stranger, A Farewell to Arms, and a few other classics in that vein. I really enjoy Bill Bryson's books, such as A Walk in the Woods. I grew up sporadically reading the works of Brian Jacques if that means anything to anyone (I've been tempted to go back and see if they still hold up). Also non-fiction that deals with just about any aspect of WWII. As for right now, I'm giving The Foundation series by Isaac Asimov a go.

Generally pretty picky when it comes to films these days, although every now and again something will come along and surprise me.

Sneakers, My Cousin Vinny, Tremors, Labyrinth, Raising Arizona, The Blues Brothers, John Carpenter's (a very important distinction there) The Thing, Big Trouble in Little China, Heat, Brazil, Glory, Dances with Wolves, Shaun of the Dead, Hot Fuzz, Evil Dead 2, Saving Private Ryan, Rushmore, Run Lola Run, The Fifth Element, Office Space, anything by Hayao Miyazaki, and so on and so forth.

Same goes for most shows

The Simpsons (seasons 1-10ish), The Daily Show, The Colbert Report Late Show with Stephen Colbert (here's hoping), Strangers with Candy, Workaholics, Peep Show, Are You Being Served?, Mr. Bean, Keeping Up Appearances, Red Dwarf, Farscape, Trailer Park Boys, Futurama, King of the Hill, The Critic, The Marvelous Misadventures of Flapjack, Regular Show, most of Adult Swim's lineup past and present, Seinfeld, Veep, It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia, Party Down, and some other random stuff. Currently watching (or was, rather) True Detective, which is surprisingly entertaining, and Fargo.

and music.

Electronica, some techno music that isn't dubstep (e.g., Aphex Twin, Orbital, Chemical Brothers, Röyksopp, etc.), some prog rock, classic rock (e.g., Beatles, AC/DC, and the like), numerous film scores, classical music in general, zydeco (for some strange reason), various podcasts, and NPR. Recently discovered Kiwi FM while abroad, and man, I wish I could listen to that station all the time.

As for grub? A lot of different kinds, I guess. Cookies with some piping hot tea is always a comforting treat. I try to eat as healthily as possible, but I don't object to "garbage" food every now and then.

It's probably worth mentioning that I play video games as just another hobby (not as something that dominates my life), and much like everything else, I'm pretty selective. However, it would be quite futile to list my favorite ones seeing as how most people wouldn't particularly care. Although, this could be an exceptionally fun talking point.
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
My computer, because then it would be impossible to fill out the rest of this paragraph.

And other far more meaningful things like friends, family, pets, and junk. Not that I'm equating friends, family, and pets to "things" (or junk, for that matter), but you get the idea.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
movies, hypothetical nonsense, comedy skits that only a chosen few would find funny, etc.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
It generally depends, but nothing terribly exciting. Well, at least it most likely wouldn't seem that enticing to your average individual, but I assure you, I'm having a stupendous time.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I'm rather prone to bizarre misfortunes and random ailments:

I once went hiking with my brother and became violently ill (i.e., puking my guts outs, damn near literally) after ingesting bad Clif energy bars. Delicious!

At the ripe ol' age of 16, I had a rather severe case of shingles, and apparently, one of the youngest people to have ever gotten them. For those unaware, it's basically like having canker sores on your body which are conveniently located along sensitive nerve areas. Deeeelightful!

Also, kidney stones. Now those legitimately suck something fierce.

Also, also... I think Paul McCartney is the best Beatle. There, I said it.

you consider yourself to be a video game enthusiast; if you have an overwhelming desire to spout random quotes from obscure films and television shows, or what have you.

If you want to ask me what I would do if I were a hot dog .

If our match percentage is astronomically high, then all the better.

Feel free to take the initiative on this one, because I don't know what the hell I'm doing, either.

Just to clarify: I'm actually looking to work on a worthwhile relationship with a wonderful woman, but I think it's key to build on a friendship first and see where things go from there. Cool?
