My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
Who enjoys writing these things? Obviously me because I accidentally wrote a freaking essay. My perspective changes with my moods so, for now, here is way too much about me- think of it as fodder to start a conversation.

Some days all I want to do is drive with the top down singing along to the radio and on others I'll refuse to turn it on because I've read an article that I insist upon discussing. I'll beat you bloody in words with friends and listen rapturously to a new podcast, but I'll pause it to eviscerate it with any unwitting passengers as though my life has been turned upside down. I don't sit still unless I've been wrapped up in a new book for the last 12 hours. I abhor Chili's but you can probably find me in front of a questionable food truck trying to convince you that the risk of salmonella is really worth it for these fried soft shell crab hoagies. At the bar all I need is some properly mixed whiskey and coke to talk myself into playing every bar game available.

I can't lie with a straight face and sometimes I can't even tell the truth with a straight face, much to my own irritation. I expect chivalry but have skewed perceptions of what girls should and shouldn't do. Competitive doesn't even begin to describe my most base nature and I have never been called laid back. I tend towards defiance if challenged (especially if I've been drinking), which has led to more than one competition I shouldn't have started. Spending a whole weekend on the couch is my definition of torture- I keep things interesting. If any of this seems unreasonable, move along.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
Just about to start my second Bachelor's for Nursing.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
I love to cook, read, paint, work out, go out with friends, shoot skeet, play board games, travel and practice my photography. I've always thought it would be really cool to be able to survive the end of the world, so while I'm not a "doomsday prepper" I do like to be moderately informed about a variety of topics.

However cliche it may sound (and oh, how trite it does) what I enjoy most is trying new activities. I do my best to try new out a new hobby as often as possible- be it glassblowing, paintball, ice skating or a new craft. I have my Scuba certification, and have dived Cozumel and the Great Barrier Reef but would really like to add Costa Rica and the Mediterranean to that list in the next few years.

What I am not good at:
reading maps (for one christmas a few years ago both of my parents got me a GPS. They told me to keep the second one "just in case")

Responding to people who just say "hi, I'm so and so" on here or ask about my day. That's boring and I didn't go through the trouble of writing this thing so you could ignore it and just look at pictures... Plus, this weeds out the illiterate.
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
Most likely my snarky, sarcastic comments. If I'm nice to you that's a bad sign, I only give my friends a lot of guff.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Help your potential matches find common interests.
Books- Game of Thrones series (AKA A Song of Ice and Fire, though that title is lame) the Outlander Series, Mistborn trilogy, Ender's Game, Freakanomics, Harry Potter and the Hunger Games. Jane Austin's works as well as general works by Melanie Rawn, Ilona Andrews, Brian Haig and Darynda Jones. I've just started the Wheel of Time series and only have 13 more to go (at the time of this writing)

Music- I like most types, especially country and am not terribly picky. Feel free to judge my Disney collection; it is more than adequate.

Movies- While I do occasionally spend my hangovers on the couch rewatching an old favorite, I'm generally more of a one and done kind of movie watcher. The movies eligible for couch day consideration are as follows: Pride and Prejudice, Boondock Saints, Braveheart, He's Just Not That Into You, V for Vendetta, LOTR, Harry Potter, In Time and the Blindside

Tv- while it's not generally something I have time for, if I happen to be painting or cooking I'll leave a comedy on like The Jon Oliver Show, Friends, Parks and Rec, or the OC. If I'm in the mood for something else perhaps the Newsroom, Game of Thrones, Scandal,or the 100 will suit. The only programs I make a concerted effort to watch when I think about it are the Daily Show and the Colbert report (Jon Stewart is indeed my celebrity crush)

Food- Where to begin? I was a food science major (no! I know what you're thinking, but that means neither chef nor nutritionist!) and I love variety. I think tapas were probably invented for me.
Favorite dishes- who doesn't love a good fondue? Steak (both beef and tuna) and sushi (I'm just now starting to develop a palate for it, call me a late bloomer) and crab cake eggs benedict (Le Peep), smoked salmon with lemon and dill on toast with cream cheese.
comfort food: mashed potatoes, chocolate creme brûlée and chicken in a basket
herb: dill
condiment: mustard (I will find a way to put it on almost anything)
Now I think I've done a pretty good job of typing out everything so feel free to come back next week and I'm sure it will have changed completely again
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
Dancing. Or maybe hunting, cooking or playing bar games. I loveee Friday nights and tend not to spend them alone or watching TV.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I don't rat to the fuzz!!

Offer a few tips to help matches win you over.
You think you can keep up and maybe teach me a thing or two.
You should not message me if: you are close minded, wear flat billed hats, dress "ironically" and mind being taken to task for it or do not like dogs.
