Your Notes

My Self-Summary
I'm looking for someone kind but not too nice. Someone smart and clever. I think talent and passion make you twenty times more desirable. I think quirks are interesting.
I'm way too busy. I need to drop a ball.
I like to wear t-shirts. I love high heels.
There's more, but I guess we'll get to that.
What I’m doing with my life
I seem to be getting more serious about baking. I just took a job at an amazing pastry shop and I'm getting to learn all about the history of these amazing artisan pastries and the techniques used to make them.
(FOOD NERD.)
I also work for a small chocolate company, selling (and eating) fancy chocolate and planning small events and tastings.
As for jobs that bring in little to no money: I'm an actor in Chicago. I feel like I've made some great connections with theatre companies and things are starting to work out. I don't expect theatre to ever "pay the bills", but it's something I love and I'm not willing to let go of it. I've worked with a bunch of companies here and made some wonderful, amazing friends.
When I'm not selling treats or memorizing lines or auditioning I'm with my friends--- trying new restaurants, cooking dinner, seeing shows, hanging out at a neighborhood bar, taking walks...
I’m really good at
-organizing
-making lists
-making people feel comfortable
-winning over parents
-getting people to show up to parties/events
-searching for airfare and hotels online
-pronouncing things in Italian
The first things people usually notice about me
Actually, that was wishful thinking. It's probably the fact that I'm only 5 feet tall.
My favorite books, movies, music, and food
I also read a lot of plays. Favorite playwrights: Chekhov, Ibsen, Shakespeare, Wilde, Sarah Ruhl, Yasmina Reza, Charles Mee
I am a less than voracious movie watcher. I enjoy movies but couldn't pin down a favorite. When I make a list of movies I like it reads as a little ordinary and unsophisticated. Here look: Almost Famous, Back to the Future, The Godfather, Office Space, Amelie, High Fidelity, Secretary, Heart & Souls, Wet Hot American Summer, Empire Records, Drop Dead Gorgeous, The Royal Tenenbaums, Rushmore, Bottle Rocket, The Darjeeling Limited, Benny & Joon, Y Tu Mama Tambien, Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, Ferris Bueller's Day Off, Billy Elliot, Edward Scissorhands, Little Miss Sunshine, Stranger than Fiction, The Science of Sleep, Before Sunset, Life is Beautiful, 2 Days in Paris, Lars and the Real Girl.
Right? Or no?
Music: please. I love it. I'm not a music snob, and not as educated as I probably should be- but I love just about anything that's not overly pretentious. I grew up on Motown, Soul and Classic Rock. Thank you Mom, for Sam Cooke, Stevie Wonder and Diana Ross. Thank you Dad for The Beatles and The Rolling Stones. My heart belongs to all of the "old" stuff. I love modern music too- I just have more trouble stumbling upon it. I'm usually introduced to new bands I love by way of mix cds from friends.
Food? I could write sonnets. I can't make a list. Food is all important. If you're the guy who eats cereal for breakfast, a pb&j for lunch and a turkey burger for dinner every day, day after day, I'm not the girl for you.
The six things I could never do without
I spend a lot of time thinking about
On a typical Friday night I am
If I'm feeling anti-social: in my kitchen trying out a new recipe for cookies, having a glass of red wine, and watching a movie or reading a book.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit here
You should message me if
Or if you want to rhapsodize about pastries.
