My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
I wrote my original summary over a year ago and upon rereading it I find that I've changed...so I am going to rewrite my profile as honestly and purely as possible. If you don't like truth or raw humanity than you're probably in the wrong place. I don't want to talk about my abs or cars or sports, I actually want to hear about your day & discuss current events. I know shocking. I don't pull any punches & I don't expect you to, though common courtesy & decorum are a must if we are to get anywhere. But if you have fart joke or yo momma joke, please don't hesitate to share.

I am an odd guy. I like to wander around in abandoned buildings, train tunnels, and get lost in the woods. I think a pocket watch and a vest complete any outfit. Books can be used as decor if you know what you're doing. I do not like the heat, I much prefer the cold. I really like liberal/independent talk radio, and politics in general. I am tattooed & pierced and I do find that aesthetic appealing, but also love an unspoiled canvas as well. I am a single father & my daughter does live with me 80% of the time, and there is no "baby-mama drama." I don't know if I want more children or not, adoption, though tough, is always an option.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
I am employed, I do not live with my parents or even in the same state as them. I own & maintain my own vehicle. I can cook & am not afraid to wrestle a dog into a bathtub or mud puddle given the situation.

I spend an inordinate amount of time at Wegman's.

I enjoy what is called urban exploration...it boils down to exploring the places civilization just walked away from -- old sanitariums, closed mines/tunnels, & abandoned buildings.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
Editing, learning, falling down, shopping, re-purposing things into furniture or art.
I'm a good cook & I like to debate.
I guess since no one has every really judged my skill set but me this assessment is biased.
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I honestly don't know. My hair is usually not combed. I dress kind of weird -- well & stylish tends not to be the norm in Syracuse.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Help your potential matches find common interests.
Books: All of Christopher Moore's books. I recently discovered Jonathan Tropper & I relate so much to his work. Richard Russo. Max Brooks opened my eyes. Bill Bryson made me want to travel again. Steven King is a great documentarian of the last 30 years of American history and culture. I also have the 1st edition hardbacks of the Hannibal Lecter Quadrilogy. Then there is my love affair with Neil Gaiman....

Movies: Anything with Simon Pegg, Zombies, or guys in masks killing people. But I also love indie movies, like Squid & the Whale, most of Wes Andersen's movies, and I like old Universal horror movies too. American Beauty, Brokedown Palace, Casablanca, Don't Tell Mom the Babysitters Dead, Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Sun, Four Rooms, Gods & Monsters, Harold & Kumar Go to White Castle and Escape for Gitmo, Interview with a Vampire, Jack, Kentucky Fried Movie, Lost Highway, Marie Antoinette, Night of the Living Dead and the Romero sanctioned sequels, Opera, Playing by Heart, Queen of the Damned, Rosemary's Baby, The Station Agent, Thirteen, Uncle Buck, The Virgin Suicides, Whatever Happened to Baby Jane?, Young Frankenstein, Zombie...

Music: Placebo, MC Frontalot, & lyrics that make me think/laugh. I don't dig country at all. Adam WarrockAir, Amon Tobin, Andrew Bird, Art Brut, the Avenue Q Soundtrack, Badly Drawn Boy, Beck, Belle & Sebastian, Bush, Cake, The Clientele, Damien Rice, Dropkick Murphys, The Eels, Elliott Smith, Eluvium, Garbage, Jay and Silent Bob Soundtrack, Journey, Jem, MC Chris, MC Front-a-Lot, MC Hawking, Muse, Pinback, Placebo, Postal Service, Queen, Radiohead, REM, Rufus Wainwright, Sia, Skankin' Pickle, Stephen Lynch, The Streets, Tom Waits, Umbrella, Velvet Goldmine Soundtrack, Within Temptation, Yo La Tango, Zero 7....

Television: CSI, House, Law & Order: SVU, Criminal Minds, The Simpsons, Family Guy, Good Eats, shows where I learn about Hitler's digestive track, dinosaurs, Romans, Irish caverns, and animals eating each other.....
And a hell of a lot more because I watch whatever is on even just as background noise.

Food: I am an omnivore. Man evolved to eat dairy, meat, grain, and vegetables. I don't care if you are a vegetarian just don't judge me for my natural desire to eat what I like. I'm also a bit of a foodie -- I like to cook, eat out, and experiment.
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
cardigan sweaters & vests
British sitcoms
cheeses
books
a good hat
books, again
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
the meaning of life, sex, the past, books, nothing at all, robots, zombies, & just weird things, like do the security guards at art museums appreciate the beauty they are surrounded by every day? I think a lot. I think too much. I over analyze just about everything and it tends to make me either anxious or cynical.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
I really couldn't say. Each day presents something new, so, it would be presumptive for me to say what is typical...
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
is that I shot a man in Reno, just to watch him die. Wait, that wasn't me that was Johnny Cash. I guess that when my feet sweat they smell kind of like vinegar, because I dip my feet in vinegar each day. Ok, that isn't true either.
