I am facetious, ambivalent, and logical.
My Self-Summary
I'm a writer. I'm here on this site out of insomnia and boredom. I
really like
Jameson Irish Whiskey. I
usually drink cheap, shit beer like
Pabst Blue Ribbon,
Old Style, or
Miller High
Life. I like strong coffee when I'm not hungover. I don't like
writing about myself and I really only like talking about myself
with people who I've deemed to be understanding of, and accepting
of, life outside of the mainstream.
I never want to grow up completely. I'm responsible enough to pay
the bills and take care of whatever I need to...but I don't want to
lose the immaturity and joy of being young. I never want to stop
reading comic books, playing video games, watching stupid teen
movies and tv shows, and making crude jokes. I want to, basically,
be 21 until I die. (But not like in a frat boy kind of way...I
don't yell "whoo" everytime I get slightly excited...and I don't
rufie drinks, either. And I don't think that I'm anything
special...unless you compare me to frat boys, then, yeah, I guess I
am kinda special...)
What I’m doing with my life
writing, playing
guitar, bartending.
I evesdrop on conversations while I'm working. Tending bar is great
for people watching...also, bartending leads to disliking most
people.
I’m really good at
hating this part of my profile. It just feels like an invitation to
be pretentious or overly boastful. People who get to know me get to
know what I'm good at, that's it.
The first things people usually notice about me
It used to be my hair color which used to always be blue or red or
green or something crazy, but I haven't been doing that lately...I
suppose, now it would just be my colorful tattoos...or the fact
that I often appear to be pissed off. I'm told I look pissed off a
lot, which is funny to me, because I'm not. I think people just
mistake stoicism at work for being mad.
My favorite books, movies, music, and food
(a)
To
Kill a Mockingbird;
the Catcher in the Rye;
Pride &
Prejudice (Marvel's currently publishing a comic adaptation
that's pretty cool.);
American Gods by
Neil Gaiman; anything by
Tom Robbins or
Kurt
Vonnegut; Heavier Than Heaven, a biography of Kurt Cobain; The
Clash, Return of the Last Gang in Town (comprehensive biography);
Skipping Towards Gomorrah by Dan Savage. etc. Oh, and comic books,
particularly
Uncanny X-Men and X-spinoff
titles (Wolverine, the New Mutants, X-Force, Generation X, and like
2000 more...).
(b)
Boondock
Saints,
X-Men,
X2,
Ghost World,
SLC Punk,
Kevin Smith flicks, a bunch of those
John Hughes flicks, etc. Documentaries I love. I'm not a huge movie
person. Despite the fact that I'm not a pothead I do really seem to
like stoner comedies.
(c)
the Clash,
Social
Distortion,
Against Me!,
Fifteen,
Operation Ivy,
Rancid,
NOFX,
Pennywise,

the Weakerthans,

Distillers...you know, to name just a few
(d)I don't eat a lot...
The six things I could never do without
Assuming basic needs are already met...
1-Cigarettes...I am addicted, it's true
2-My Music Collection and a means to play those albums
3-An unlimited supply of ink and paper
4-New books to read
5-Acceptable companionship
Sex and booze would be cool too.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
every goddamn thing...mostly about how fucked up the people in this
world are and that in relation to them I must either be enlightened
or insane...possibly both.
On a typical Friday night I am
wherever I want to be...sometimes at a show, sometimes in my room,
sometimes drinking with my crue, sometimes tending bar. My point
being is that there is no such thing as typical.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit here
I think that most things and people are stupid.
You should message me if
you're bored and feel like it...I don't know, do whatever you want
to do. Or if you like the X-Men...I'm such a dork I'll talk about
the (insert adjective here) X-Men for hours.
