Moved from the city to the suburbs eight years ago but still very connected to the diversity and cultural activities of NYC. I am tall, medium built and I’m told often that I’m prettier than my photo and look much younger. I consider myself fun, worldly, experienced and adventurous, but also grounded. A perfect afternoon would be the taking in the sights and sounds of somewhere I haven‘t been before. I love to go to the movies then after wards having coffee analyzing the plot or choking up at the sappy ending. I’m looking for a great guy who knows how to lead sometimes and walk hand in hand other times. I’ll bake cookies or stew the Jambalaya, but would appreciate a great meal out occasionally.

What I’m doing with my life

I am an elementary school teacher. I teach kindergarten. I have been teaching for twelve years. I have also taught 1st, 4th and 5th grades. But I enjoy the little ones the most. I have also been doing a lot of traveling (France, England, Spain). Hope to see Italy next summer. Yeah, its nice having two months off in the summer!

I love to dance! I especially love dancing salsa. I have take belly dancing lessons and hula. And yes, I do consider myself a really good dance.

My Hair and Smile. You would describe the color as steel gray. It is very stunning and I keep it short. However, lately I've been thinking of growing it long. I've gotta great smile!

My favorite books, movies, music, and food

I just finished "A Thousand Pleasant Suns" (loved it!) I'm reading The Red Tent" now. Recently read The Kite Runner. Favorite authors: Amy Tan, Walter Mosley, Grisham, Patterson, Tananarive Due, J California Cooper. Favorite books change all of the time, but right now it would be: The #1 Ladies Detective Agency. Favorite adult movie is The Shawshank Redemption. My favorite children's movies are Babe and Happy Feet. Favorite musical West Side Story. I am really into trying new and different kinds of foods. I really enjoy Ethiopian food, Italian, Gourmet Chinese. I like any type of live entertainment when it comes to music. From Jazz to World, to Pop to Top 10...

Love exploring the city. Finding little out of the way eateries. Discovering the newest Off-Broadway hit. Sleeper foreign films. Listening to music. That new museum exhibit. Listening to slam poetry jams. Take out and a video. I am always open to trying and doing new things, discovering new places or just chillin at home.
