My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
First, let me say that trying to meet people online is paradoxical. If you want to know what I mean by that, just ask.............. In the meantime, you can also read my satire about "Online Dating" in my blog. Funny stuff !! OK, now for the profile essay:

How could I possibly "summarize" myself or anyone else for that matter. OK, well I'll give it a shot. I am a classy guy that keeps his priorities straight. I get up each day and go to an office where my only goal is to make another person(s) life & health better. I try to seek out balance by finding enjoyable ways to spend my time when not at work. I think I am 90% accomplished, with the only challenge is to find the one right person to spend my life with ! I hope to find a person to go SCUBA diving with in the Caribbean during the cold winter months. Escape away to go skiing in Aspen, or just up north to Boyne. The summer months I spend my time boating and waterskiing on a lake close to my home in Birmingham. Other fun things I do in my off time is flying planes, gardening around the house, working out at the gym 5-6 times a week, running outside in the warm weather, and cruising around casually on my Harley. On a lazy night, I'll just spend my time lying on the couch watching a movie or favorite episode of Mad Men on AMC.

I am kind-hearted, charasmatic, and intelligent
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
At the moment, preoccupied with this whole new concept in online dating. Wonder if this is the last place left to meet new people ? I just can't see hanging out in the bars as an option for me.

Other than the dating mentioned above, everything else seems to be stable. Great home, career, lifestyle, security, blah blah !! Just want to locate that terrific gal to spend the rest of my life laughing together with :)
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
Emotionally: Sitting quietly and listening to you for hours after you've had a long hard day, and only interrupting occasionally to offer a tissue to wipe your eyes if you're upset. I am natural problem solver, and want to help whenever I can.

Physically: Love all types of household work. I am great at electrical stuff, and can be very handy with plumbing and carpentry too !

Culinary: I love trying to cook. I am average to above average, but have a lot to learn before I can really expect people to eat my concoctions on a regular basis.

Smarts: Problem solving and trivia. I have a mind for the most useless information and rock at Jeopardy ! More importantly, I am good at solving complex medical issues (as I should be, since I make a career doing it).
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
Physically: My height (assuming I am standing up). At 6'3" I am hard to miss. I get complimented on my eye color which is blue-gray.

Otherwise, probably my ongoing curiousity. I am always looking around at everyone else in the room. So many stories in the world around us, and I wonder about each one.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food

This is a segue to the question below of "private" admission:

Movies: I really enjoy movies where people fall in love and find each other. Yes, I know - "chick-flick" - OK, don't laugh, but here they are: The Notebook, Time Traveler's wife (both Rachel McAdams), Serendipity, You've Got Mail, For The Love Of The Game, Sleepless In Seattle, and Definitely, Maybe. Outside of that genre, Shawshank Redemption is the BEST movie EVER !

Interesting side note: I love going to NYC and have actually been to the sites where they filmed the last 5 movies I listed
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
The obvious answers for us all are: Air (2 minutes), water (2-3 days), food (2 weeks). I have a hunch, though, they want me to be a bit more metaphorical. OK, well then how about .....

My female yellow lab

Computer, TV, cellphone, car might be others

That's four, I know, but the other two are private ;)
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
What the next five or ten years will bring. Why I haven't found a great match to go through life with.

Bigger picture / deeper thinking: How we could possibly believe we are alone in the universe. I mean come on ! We are one planet in a solar system within a galaxy of 300 billion such type solar systems, within a universe of 200 billion galaxies !! Just remember that until Galileo offended the church by saying that earth revolved around the sun, we were all CERTAIN that the earth WAS the center of the universe (and everything centered on us) !!!
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
Probably lying on my couch wishing I was on a great date. Then I go out, the date isn't so great, and I wish I was back home on the couch ! - haha (Just can't please some people)
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
** See movies above **

I like "chick flicks" - romantic movies. I never admit it openly. Hey, let's face it, most guys wouldn't say it at all no matter how true. We're all supposed to like Bruce Willis and Chuck Norris, kickin' ass type of movies.

Is "private" and embarrassing the same thing?
