Whoa, it's been over a year since I updated this thing! Spent too much time not paying attention to the internet, and for that I apologize. I'm a 26 year old who happily runs the print center for a gift-card service, and spends entirely too much time being geeky and reading books about the possible ways the world could end.

Moving to that phase of life where I'm happy to sit at home and watch the sunset with friends with good food and good drink, and not worry too much about all the stupid details of life that crop up. (Like my eternally breaking down car- cars just hate me, I guess.)

Existing. Does that count?

Being a nerd of all stripes.

Taking care of animals of all shapes and sizes. (Except snakes!)

Acquiring random hobbies.

Dancing alone, at night, for the sheer joy of dancing.

Raging at the sheer idiocy of people on the internet.

I also have a ridiculous supply of knowledge on truly bizarre things, which I am quite proud of.

That I can talk about buffer overflow in your computer and how to raise and train a horse in the same conversation.

Favorite books, in no order: Dune, City of Saints and Madmen, The Lucifer Effect, House of Leaves, The Dark Tower Series, Ilium. Pretty much anything by China Mieville or Jeff Vandermeer. Of course, there are plenty of other amazing books out there I just can't seem to remember them.

Favorite movies: None really come to mind. I like movies, I just have no real favorites.

Favorite music: Sambomaster, Muse, Cursive, Ken Hirai, m-flo

Food: Curry. I love all sorts of food, but I have decided curry is the perfect food.

1. Books- They keep me sane when nothing else does.
2. Quantum Physics- They keep us all here.
3. My father/friends/brother- Without them I would be lying dead in a gutter, quite literally.
4. Glorious m-flo, the epitome of superb music.
5. Paper and Pen- Sometimes you just have to write it out.
6. Peanut butter! (You Kiwis really don't know how to do it right.)

My friends in parts of the world I'm not in, how can I save them from the zombie apocalypse if I'm not there?!

Also, quantum physics. But then my brain kind of implodes.

Playing games with friends, being geeky, or otherwise bucking the bar scene.

(Which usually means I'm playing with my dog.)

I'm actually really afraid of canyons, despite loving heights, but I blame that mostly on almost falling into the Grand Canyon.

You should message me if you want someone who is easy to get along with, who is actually decently smart, and you are capable of forming an argument which consists of more than "It is because everyone else does it!", or if you feel like just having a really laid back time. I'm not very high strung which makes it a lot easier for us to do things we both like.
