What I’m doing with my life
You know.

Stuff.

Specifically, I'm pursuing an eventual Ph.D. in psychology. I'm planning on research into the development of sexuality, esp. paraphilias. Every psychologist is trying to fix themselves or prove they don't need to be fixed, eh? Berkeley, if I can swing it, but UIndiana's Kinsey institute is attractive, and Standford and UPenn are always top-tier for Sociology.

This does, of course, mean I'm always reading more into what you say than I should. But I'm right more often than wrong, so I manage to avoid offending people.
I’m really good at
Writing, especially fiction, and especially flash fiction. But my essays are pretty phenomenal, too.

Disimmanentizing the eschaton.

Macromicronomics.

Dancing, I hear.

Guessing which of your photos is the most recent.

Reverbing nouned verbs, but Scientist Kat is better.
The first things people usually notice about me
Long hair on a guy. I've been assumed female more times than seven, but fewer than eleventy, both of which are numbers I can count to. I've been told I'm "loud", "bright", and "sparkly", and obviously so in crowds and from across fields, so maybe some people notice my psychic glow first. Or something.

I'm usually in dark clothing. I don't walk - I stride. I have fairly broad shoulders. I'm told that I have celtic facial features.

I think that's a decent descending order.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
I'll fill this out as I think of things.

(a) ??? - The Alchemists, Edward Gorey - assorted works, the Principia Discordia, and the Apocrypha Discordia. Take that, disInfo. Bram Stoker - Dracula, Ursula K. LeGuin - The Left Hand of Darkness. Much, perhaps everything, by Neil Gaiman or Terry Pratchett, and especially the bits they collaborate on. Unless Good Omens was the only such bit, in which case just make that a singular noun.
I want to read more by Douglas Adams; the Hitchhiker's Guide set wasn't enough. Edgar Allen Poe-- the best creative use of Opium and syphillitic madness, to date. Rudyard Kipling, bless his racist heart, could tell a damned fine story.
The Mrs. Pigglewiggle books! Those rocked. I have a guilty fondness for the Anita Blake, Vampire Hunter series. Lloyd Alexander - The Chronicles of Prydain.
And thank you to whoever's profile I just viewed that reminded me of Jonathon Livingston Seagull, because that got me through adolescence. For seriouses.

(b) "Addams Family", "Boondock Saints", "Brazil", "Cecil B. Demented", "Chasing Amy", "City of Lost Children", "A Clockwork Orange", "The Crow", "Cruel Intentions", "Desperados", "Edward Scissorhands", "Equilibrium", "Fight Club", "From Dusk 'Til Dawn", "Mirrormask", "Once upon a Time in Mexico", "Pi", "Prophecy", "Pulp Fiction", "Seven", "Sleepy Hollow", Youtube's collection of "Special Slam Poetry".

(c) A Fire Inside, Alice in Videoland, And One, Android Lust, Apocalyptica, Assemblage 23, Benny Benassi, Bjork, The Bloodhound Gang, Cee Lo Green, Chrispy, Collide, Combichrist, The Cruxshadows, The Cure, Current 93, Deadsy, Depeche Mode, Disturbed], Dope Stars, Inc., Faderhead, Flogging Molly, Fluttr Effect, Freezepop, Garbage, Gothminister, Grendel, Groove Coverage, Guano Apes, I:Scintilla, Jack Off Jill, Klute, London After Midnight, Lords of Acid, MC chris, Mindless Self Indulgence, New Order, Nick Cave, Nightwish, Nine Inch Nails, Orgy, Otep, Pop Will Eat Itself, Queen, Rasputina, Sister Soleil, Sisters of Mercy, The Smashing Pumpkins, Snog, Stabbing Westward, Sublime, Switchblade Symphony, System of a Down, Therion, Tool, Type O Negative, Voltaire, Zeromancer, Zombie Girl.

This list is out of date, and too short.

(d) I like a lot of flavors, but I can tolerate a finite range of textures. It's unfortunate: I lost most of my favorite foods at five.

Sad face.
The six things I could never do without
Music. My life needs a soundtrack, or it would bore me to death.

Internet. Most of my friends live out-of-state.

Correction. Because if you talk enough, you forget what you sound like.

Baskin Robbins. This is really just a placeholder.

Onomatopoeia. A world without clank, bang, and zoom would be no world at all.

That thing you do. It gets me every time.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
...song lyrics I want to write, for a band I want to form.

...short stories that need to be written.

...conversations I might have. Wouldn't want to be caught off-guard, you know.

...what the other side of your skin looks like.

...philosophy, particularly ethics and metaphysics. Epistemology holds almost no interest for me-- perhaps I've never been stoned enough.

I often wonder how much I'm sabotaging my Match% with nice atheist girls by giving honest, if misleading, answers to the Religion questions.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
Pretend this sentence is actually something witty.
