My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
Oh hi there. I'm Laura. I'm a caffeine addicted, literature lusting, spiritual, creative, passionate female.

I would like more friends. Why? Because the internet has afforded me the opportunity to make friends with people I wouldn't normally run into in my every day existence.

And I need more NERDS in my life.

Seriously. Come play board games with me. And do pub quizzes. Please?
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
I just graduated from the University of Arizona with an English Lit degree and a minor in history. While I've floundered about trying to discover my calling in life, I've made monies as a barista for the past...7 years? However, I'm going to be starting school again in the fall to become a high school English teacher. Because I like reading. And I'm gonna show you HOW AWESOME READING IS, K?
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
I really love writing and write poetry, prose, and journal rather frequently. I dance, sing, and can make a damn good cappuccino, if I do say so myself.
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I'm relatively tall for a girl. I'm also quirky and I tend to speak my mind.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Help your potential matches find common interests.
My top three favorite books are Lolita by Vladmir Nabokov, Henry and June by Anais Nin, and A Picture of Dorian Gray by Oscar Wilde. Oh! And Pillars of the Earth, by Ken Follett. I guess that's four. Bah. I also love anything by John Fowles and Charles Bukowski. I may have just finished the entire Harry Potter series for the first time just recently. I maaaay have been sorted into Slytherin on Pottermore. That might have been me. *hissss*

As for movies? Hmm. Let's do it this way.
*Me and You and Everyone We Know
*Moulin Rouge
*Fur
*A Beautiful Mind
*Rocky Horror PIcture Show
*Forgetting Sarah Marshall

Shows? I really don't watch too much tv, but I'm OBSESSED with
the Venture Bros. The Venture Bros and Firefly tie for my favorite shows. I also really dig Community and Madmen.

Music? SO MUCH MUSIC.

And for food, I will say this. I adore pasta. Italian food is my one true staple. Noodles. Always.
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
1.) God.
2.) My friends and family. Cliche, but true.
3.) Books. Oh Books.
4.) My computer. I might have an addiction to the interwebs.
5.) Coffee. I have an addiction to that too.
6.) Something to write on ;)
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
Hmm. God. My future. What I want to be doing, what I ought to be doing. What I'm going to read next. How I'm going to improve myself. Who I want to hang out with. What I want to write about. I think about babies sometimes. And growing up.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
Out with my friends, possibly playing pool and having a beer. Maybe at a concert. Seeing a movie. Sometimes working. Or maybe at home reading. It really depends.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I'm actually willing to admit quite a lot. I'm very open, if you know how to ask the right questions. I have a scar that runs the length of my chest from open heart surgery as a child?

You're a big nerd. Or maybe a good conversationalist. If you wanna hang out. Play some board games. Stuff like that.
