My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
I’m a firm believer of - if it no longer works, try something different.
After 22 years in Los Angeles, I recently moved to Minneapolis. I’ve been told that I’m brave, and crazy. Both true. Yet, I survived my second winter, and learned the importance of 4wd and winter proofing your house in the fall.

My culture shock is beginning to wear off. I’m getting used to how nice, and normal, and sane, and blonde everyone is. But I’m still not used to the lack of traffic and ample parking. I keep showing up early. And I don’t understand why nobody ever lets you merge into their lane and why they refuse to make eye contact with you when you’re two feet away and yelling “What the fuck! Let me in!” That’s so Minnesota (so I’m told.)

I like it here. I’m still finding my way around and haven’t really scratched the surface, but there seems to be an abundance of my favorite things - design, art, architecture, great food, interesting people. It definitely suits me more than L.A. It feels like home.

About me… I’m happy and eternally optimistic. I don't have a lot of tolerance for pessimists or downers. I'm very levelheaded, clear and honest. I say what I mean and mean what I say. I'm loyal like a dog and low-maintenance to a fault. I'm often brave and sometimes fearless. Not fearless in a jump-out-of-plane sort of way, (I'm actually a big chicken when it comes to being a daredevil), but I live my life fearlessly. I'm willing to take chances and every time I've done so in the past it's been wonderfully life changing. I've taken a somewhat unconventional path and it’s led me to unexpected places.

Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
Holding doors for people, watching, diving in, starting over, keeping things simple, exploring, going with the flow, setting a tone, getting back up, listening, wondering.

I love music. Depending on my mood….

The Icons for nostalgia – Led Zepplin, The Beatles, The Stones, David Bowie, Prince, Fleetwood Mac, Johnny Cash

The Balladeers and Storytellers when I’m feeling mellow – Alexi Murdoch, Ray LaMontagne, Bon Iver, Carol King, Tom Waits

When I feel like rocking out, no one delivers like The White Stripes / Jack White.

For those times when you boys make no sense, the Jilted Women are weirdly comforting – Adele, Fiona Apple

I’ve always loved Bossa Nova and Brazilian music – Stan Getz, Bebel Gilberto, Astrid Gilbeto, Cibelle, Seu Jorge

And when I just want to shuffle – Feist, Arcade Fire, Sigur Ros, Saint Etienne, Gotan Project, Nouvelle Vague …. that sort of vibe.

Movies – truthfully I don’t make it out to the theaters very often. But I’ll always seek out films by my favorite directors - Wes Anderson, Sophia Coppola, PT Anderson, Baz Luhrman, The Cohen Brothers, Jean-Pierre Jeunet, Alexander Payne…
And documentaries. I love documentaries.

Food – Love it all. I love trying new restaurants, seeking new flavors. I prefer low-key and simple vs. fancy foodie.
