I'm left handed, with a definitely left handed sense of humor.
(Think Gary Larson on steroids!) I love to laugh at life, myself,
adversity, and the world around us. I NEVER like to laugh at
others, though, only with them. I also love to smile, and, thanks
to Cupid and sum12luvu, I'll be smiling a lot more from now on. In
fact, as of this day, 19 March, 2013, sum12luvu has consented to
become my wife. We are planning the wedding, and will set the date,
soon. UPDATE! sun12luvu and I have bought the rings and set the
date. We will be married on Saturday, 22 June, 2013 in Alexandria,
LA. THANK YOU OK CUPID! Your someone is probably waiting to make
contact with you right now. GOOD LUCK!!!!!
What I’m doing with my life
I am a writer. My first novel has just been picked up by a major
trade house, and it is due to come out later this year. My agent
also has a film deal in the works. The really cool part is that I
have at least three more books between my ears, waiting to come
I’m really good at
Treating a lady like a lady. My grandmothers taught me to do doors
and chairs by the time I was six. I realize that no woman can, or
should, be expected to truly love any man whom she does not
respect, nor one who does not treat her with respect. If you think
that's "old fashioned," or "sexist," you and I probably wouldn't
get along very well.
The first things people usually notice about me
My smile and my often intense seriousness are a paradox. My family
name is based on the German word for "Scholar," and it fits!
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
I read a couple dozen books while doing research for my own book.
For recreational reading, I like science fiction, and history. The
works of the late Robert Heinlein are outstanding. He will come to
be known as the Jules Verne of the 20th Century. I love movies,
especially animated stuff. (It's the kid in me.) Country and oldies
music. Pizza is one of the four basic food groups, and if you do it
right, it's all four in one. My favorite TV show is THE BIG BANG
The six things I could never do without
Someone to love, someone to love me, my computer, my TV (especially
the History Channel) my digital camera, my mind, (although most of
my friends say that I've lost that) I love to travel, so I think
that I'll go looking for my mind. (I'll be back later.)
I spend a lot of time thinking about
My next three books, my travel plans as I do the research for those
books. My craft.
On a typical Friday night I am
relaxing and loving my new sweetheart, like a kid all over again!
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
My first wife left me for another woman. My second wife was an
improvement. She left me for another man.
You should message me if
You would like to congratulate me and the beautiful lady who has
