Clarifying: I work at a school, but I'm not a teacher (mostly...I co-lead our biking program), but rather the data guy who handles, well, all the student data stuff. At most places this would mean I were locked in an office, but where I work it means I'm up front, so students can harass me as needed about their grades, transcripts, or whatnot, and I can harass them for being late.
So I'm a very introverted computer programmer by training, who works surrounded by bothersome (delightful) students and talkative (wonderful) coworkers. After work I go home...to a housing co-op with twenty highly interactive housemates.
I love everything about this--I guess it helps that I grew up in a family of six--but it means I find myself with little energy to spend my leisure time out in crowded places full of people. But here's the Internet, so hooray!
