I moved to NY a few months ago, after living most of my life in different parts of Europe and even though there are things of this society that I'll never get to understand, I'm actually finding my place in here.

I have a commercial trading job, and regardless how much I like it once I'm off I spend most of my free time in a more creative personal introversive world. Making music, photography, checking all kind of art and design stuff, fashion etc, or just sitting in a cafe on my own.
Reading takes also a fair amount of my day, mostly non-fiction; social sciences, art and design, economics.
The rest of my time.... yes, I work out.

Mess it up to sort it out later. Miraculously getting out of trouble.

People instantly notice that I'm european. Even before opening my mouth (after that it becomes pretty obvious)

music - The Notwist, Crystal Castles, Sigur Ros, Beach House, Electric President and an endless list.
movie - Fucking Amal, Late Night Shopping
food - any

Challenging obscure environments.
Vibrant, decadent, depressive cities.
Cool beautifully designed stuff.
Amazingly sad music.
Loneliness and friends
Weird food, restaurants and dive bars
My clothes (and the ones I don't have)

I always distract myself with deep thoughts like what to wear... what to eat... where to go.

and...

Wondering if someone actually found someone or something here, as my girl friend, who used to get 30 messages per day, said once, "this is like a free buffet, why to pick just one plate." (btw, I dislike buffets) I have to admit that after that I hardly message anyone.

And something else, let's be clear, I'm not trying to make the most of every situation. That's exhausting. If that's what you are looking for don't waste your time here, you can find thousands of other profiles saying that.

You want to grab a drink after a long working day, or go for a long walk next to the water, or go to the MOMA PS1 or whatever you can think of. just easy.

I'm not good on email, I rather meet in person, just a coffee could make my day. After all, I'm basically here to try to make friends more than anything else.

If after couple of months dating someone you will not keep on checking okcupid every day.
