My self-summary
I work with kids for a living. I love my job and my life but I need to find some life loving people to join me. I don't have a narrow, well defined, expectation of what I want in a relationship. What I want is fun, someone who would like a drink, or to share an afternoon with, or have a fun night out or a fun night in. I like to read, watch movies and some television, I'm a big sports fan, I love to work out, and I am passionate about music and expanding my record collection which stands at a modest 300.
What I’m doing with my life
"I'm taking the time for a number of things that weren't important yesterday." -The Beatles "Fixing a Hole"

I work with school aged kids in after school care. I have a great job that is starting to show real career potential and I am using that to jump into adulthood.
I’m really good at
"I'm worth a million in prizes" -Iggy Pop "Lust for Life"

I love to write, when I was in college I would write short fiction during downtime, I don't have much downtime anymore. I am very good at my job, I work with children and I have found that they are easier to talk to than adults (and often have more interesting things to say). I am good at making people laugh, though sometimes uncomfortably. I am good at yoyos. No joke, been doing it since I was 9 years old.
The first things people usually notice about me
That's a damn good question. I don't know.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Books: Kurt Vonnegut, Ken Kesey, Jack Kerouac, Alan Moore, Neil Gaiman, Frank Miller, Howard Zinn, Allen Ginsberg, Brian Bendis, Hunter S. Thompson, Mark Millar, Walt Whitman, Sherman Alexie

Movies: Like most people I have too many to think of. I like comedies whether they are goofy or intelligent, I like animated movies that don't dumb themselves down, I like the classics (most of them), but I especially like movies that are so bad they are good. I can watch Citizen Kane and appreciate it's influence on Cinema, but I get much more enjoyment from yelling at Tommy Wisaeu's ugly mug in The Room (and Greg Sestero's book was great).

Music: my first love is hard driving guitar rock like Zeppelin, The Stooges, Rush, etc. Hip hop, specifically MF DOOM (all caps), Madlib, Wu Tang, Beastie Boys and others. I also love jazz, classical, folk, and plenty more. This doesn't even begin to cover it.

TV: Breaking Bad, The Daily Show/Colbert Report, Saturday Night Live, Community, Mad Men. Louie. MST3K. Bob's Burgers. Brooklyn 99, Cosmos (both Sagan and Tyson)
The six things I could never do without
"I firmly believe that I didn't need anyone but me I sincerely thought I was so complete, Look how wrong you can be" -The Faces "Every Picture Tells a Story"

In no particular order, but still numbered for some reason
1. A good ale
2. Deep conversations
3. Something fun to read
4. The opportunity to work with kids
5. Something to make me laugh
6. My records, and the infinite pursuit of the perfect rock song.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Where will I be in 5 years, and is that where I want to be?
On a typical Friday night I am
Sleeping. My work schedule is demanding and at the end of the week I just want to relax. That being said I have in the past been "coerced" into getting food, having drinks, playing pool, and other bar shenanigans. I am much more active on Saturdays.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I change something on my profile every week to benefit from the free publicity. (You should do it too)
I’m looking for
  • Girls who like guys
  • Ages 21–25
  • Near me
  • Who are single
  • For new friends, long-term dating, short-term dating
You should message me if
If your idea of a fun morning is sleeping in, eating pancakes, and listening to Simon and Garfunkel

If your idea of a fun afternoon is digging through crates full of records

If your idea of a fun night is driving the old Columbia highway at night, sitting in the back of an old pickup, looking up at the stars, and listening to Nick Drake.
