My self-summary Propose an edit

Are you Sancho? No you are not... neither is Scott Baio, Sancho... But I... I am Sancho!

What I'm doing with my life Propose an edit

I'm Senior Software Developer for a firm that supplies pharmaceutical benefit systems to healthcare companies and their members. I travel now and then for client visits, but nothing too extravagant.

I'm really good at Propose an edit

I'm really good at almost everything, great at a little, and suck royally at the rest. I'm the true master of all trades, to a point. I could be a chef at a 4 star restaurant, but not a 5 star (without a crapload of practice & training). I could play guitar in a kick-ass local band, but not an internationally successful band. I can program like it's second nature, but couldn't invent Windows. I can pick up pretty much any video game and beat it, usually rather quickly... but then an 8 year old comes along and bests me. See the trend? hehe

The first thing(s) people usually notice about me Propose an edit

I'm confident. Almost to the point of being arrogant, in some cases. But then once you realize that I know I suck the arrogance seems humorous (which is kind of my point). I also go from super serious to childishly goofy in a split second, and often without warning.

My favorite books, movies, music, and food Propose an edit

I collect DVDs and have over 700 of them. They range from horror to sci fi to drama to cartoons to TV series seasons. A current, slow-going project of mine is to build a home theater PC and rip my entire collection into it. Talk about movies on demand!

When it comes to books I'm strange. I love them, but I always seem to find something that distracts me from them. It's a product of having too many hobbies.

Food... where should I start? I'm hoping that someday soon I'll have someone to cook Eggs Copenhagen / Blackstone / Benedict for. It's always more fun to experiment with a guinea pig that it is alone (in the mean time I'm practicing poaching eggs). One of my favorite meals is blackened bone-in rib eye steak, garlic mashed red potatoes, asparagus and lynchburg lemonade. One of the best places to eat in Richmond is Mom's Siam, a superb little Thai place where most of the staff knows me by name. I'm also a beer connoisseur, and drink for flavor (not to get drunk). I drink my coffee black, my tea sweet and my water watery. And lately I've had this craving for the "perfect" bloody mary. I've yet to find a place that makes it "perfect"... and I don't even understand the craving, lol.

The six things I could never do without Propose an edit

That's hard to say. There was a time when I had next to nothing. So, having been through that I can't say I could never to without something... cause I've done it. But it teaches you to value the things you do have.

I spend a lot of time thinking about Propose an edit

Really stupid random funny things that nobody would laugh at but me... half the time I say them anyway.

On a typical Friday night I am Propose an edit

I'm a home-body with a hidden party animal. I used to party up a storm when I was younger (boy do I have some stories), but the desire to do that just isn't there anymore. I'd rather sit and talk with someone in a casual atmosphere for hours on end.

Most of my casual drinking occurs on Tuesday nights (steal the glass night at Capital Ale) or Thursday nights at Rare Olde Times, to the tune of some good ole Irish drinking music. I honestly don't go out much on Fridays... not that I'm opposed to it, I just don't end up doing it lol.

The most private thing I'm willing to admit here Propose an edit

Spadoinkle!

...oh and I play World of Warcraft

...and I'm a Redskins fan

*cringe*
