My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
I'm a words person. I write plays, act in plays, and have always been a film buff and a huge reader. I read about a book a week. All kinds of stuff -- novels, plays, poetry, non-fiction, you name it. Living in Washington Heights, I spend a lot of time on the subway, and my nose is always in a book. I'm happiest dealing with words, so naturally my favorite people are all great conversationalists!

I'm really passionate about theater, and can't imagine a relationship with someone who doesn't care strongly about some kind of art --doesn't have to be theater.

Above all else, I love to laugh. And I love people who can make me laugh my ass off. Those people tend to be smart, quick-witted, good with words, irreverent, and a little vulgar.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
I'm a playwright living in Washington Heights.

I'm originally from Phoenix, then lived in Providence for seven years (four years of college at Brown, three years of getting my masters at Brown/Trinity) and moved to New York City in 2011.

I fill my time with theater stuff: acting, writing, going to shows, and getting my fledgling theater company off the ground.

To pay the bills, I wait tables.

I also spend a lot of time taking long walks with my dogs Betty and Barney. (named by the shelter -- I'm not that big a Flintstones fan!) They're two little Shih Tzu mutts and I absolutely adore them. Sometimes I feel like a single mom saying, "He's got to love my dogs!"
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
Goofing around, sleeping in (that's where I'm a viking!), staying up late and getting others to stay up late, good conversation, small talk, spelling, grammar, reading (I guess I'm good at reading?...) improving awkward situations, improv comedy (four years of it in college), arranging objects in alphabetical order, Scrabble, Taboo, charades, cheering people up, staying calm in chaotic situations, forgiving, talking to my dogs in a ridiculous voice, mimicking, knowing all the lines to my favorite silly movies from middle school (Tommy Boy, So I Married an Axe Murderer, Romy & Michele's, etc.)
The first things people usually notice about me

"You're tall."

Also, I'm usually carrying an enormous iced coffee.
