My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
I'm engaged! And would be legally married if it was legal in my state! But I still like making friends! So I'm still open to meet new people. I'm too lazy to change what's below, so just ignore all "looking for in relationship" related postings.

I'm a sculptor, ceramicist, jeweler, metalsmith, and teacher. I love working with tangible materials, and I love teaching art to others. I also love learning new techniques and mediums and my art is really important to me. I care a lot about equality and being helpful. I am loyal and committed to everything I put my heart into, and I try to be as dependable as possible. I'm also a pretty good cook (I used to want to be a chef).

I'm not even necessarily looking for someone to date, but I want to meet new people with similar AND other interests-- I feel very isolated within the art school, and would like to know people in other areas too (English, French, Science, Philosophy, Women's Studies, wherever).

I am a fairly physical girl, which can be seen both in my work life (as an artist) and in my social life (I'm definitely a hugger).

I enjoy relaxing, cuddling, cooking, talking, and peaceful atmospheres. I'm non-confrontational. I probably spend too much time on the computer.
I have a lot of love to give, and I think the world could always use more love.

I don't eat beef. Period.

I love chinchillas, and mine are my equivalent children. Someday I'd like a small dog, but I need to graduate first.

I also love being able to go out to a quiet isolated area and breathe fresh-air and relax in nature. I love traveling and hope to get to travel more someday. Currently, I don't get out much, and tend towards long days in studio and just a relaxed night at home with good food or a movie.

I'm fascinated by and enamored with the human body, languages, and gender differentiation. I think gender ambiguity is beautiful.

I'm looking for someone who isn't controlling or abusive. I want to meet someone who doesn't want to change who I am-- I want to be loved for the person I am, not the person someone changes me to be.

I really want to meet more people, so please, if you think we might be compatible friends, contact me!
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
I want to be an art teacher, and am currently in college majoring in Art Education and Jewelry/Metalwork. I want to live in Atlanta once I graduate, so I can be close to my family, who are a bit different but I love them. I do want one or two children after I've traveled some and gotten my life together.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
I'm good at thinking abstractly and working with my hands (I'm an artist, that comes with the job). I like problem-solving and coming up with new interesting ways to do things. I'm also pretty good at teaching and being nice (I love my students and they love me).
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I'm tiny (5'2") and adorable. And can be really loud. And bouncy. And generally happy and optimistic. Also, I'm incredibly shy initially if I'm crushing on you like crazy.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food

I'm all about anything Asian-food wise. I'm especially fond of pad thai, sesame chicken, vegetable low mein, california rolls, eel rolls or nigiri, and I've recently discovered I like yakisoba. I also make an outstanding quiche, spinach artichoke dip, and pork loin. I'm still learning how to make the perfect vegan mac and seitan, but those are also delicious.

My favorite movie is Imagine Me & You, followed by But I'm a Cheerleader, Better Than Chocolate, and Gray Matters. I also thoroughly enjoy Tank Girl, Bound, Zombieland, Sweeny Todd, the Saw series, Up, The Lion King, Toy Story, Rocky Horror, Repo: The Genetic Opera, Fried Green Tomatoes, What's Cooking, Mean Girls, Baby Mama, The Prestige, V for Vendetta, Edward Scissorhands, The Butterfly Effect, D.E.B.S., and many other movies.

The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
My family is very important to me (I really cannot emphasize that enough). I also love my studio and my art, and you have to understand that and respect that if you want to be my friend. I can't even count the number of times I've had to tell friends "Sorry, I'm in studio." when they invite me somewhere last-minute. I'm a working girl and I'm dedicated to that first and foremost!
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
I'm always thinking about new ways to express my feelings and thoughts on life in an artistic fashion. Also, thinking about my future, my friends, and what I want for lunch tomorrow. Lunch is especially important.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
Either in studio or catching up on sleep, because I haven't got much else to do and I enjoy both studio and sleep. I wouldn't mind being able to snuggle up and watch a movie with someone though (that would be preferable, in an ideal world). I'd also be up for a round of Katamari Damacy, if anyone is so inclined.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I had a guinea pig named Tribble, and the last name of one of my chinchillas was Picard. If that means anything to you, you're probably awesome.
Also, I sleep with a heffalump plushie. He's a really good little spoon.
