I moved a little while ago from London to New York so I'm moving my profile with me because it beats making a whole new one.
Still have my British accent. Although I've been in New York long enough that I do slip up occasionally and call a lift an "elevator" and a mobile a "cell phone".
I've also, despite myself, started doing things like frequenting juice bars (and felt bereft when in London recently and there wasn't one on every other block), drinking coconut water and liking it (at some point it stopped tasting like artichokes and started being delicious), doing yoga more than casually and considering signing up for Soul Cycle. I'm sure there *are* people in London who do these things. Probably the American transplants. Still, it's making up for the fact that I eat out so often and the US portion sizes.
One of the most difficult things to adjust to has been how far away everything seems here and I realised how easy it is to take traveling for granted when it's quicker to get to another country from the UK than it is to get into most neighbouring states here.
Feel free to message me suggestions of places in the US that I should visit!
