I am complex, selective, and an information whore.
My Self-Summary
Pretty much everything you need to know about me has been provided
for in the other fields, so this "self-summary" thing is a definite
no-go, except by duress from the masses.
What I’m doing with my life
College. I am double majoring in political science and
environmental studies, and I work in residence life as a Head
Resident. That means the residents barely understand what I do,
since I'm not an RA, but I run this joint.
I’m really good at
Creating things, debating, role playing, writing, insulting,
problem-solving. I also like to disrespect your autonomy. It's
basically my favorite.
The first things people usually notice about me
I've gotten many comments about my eyes, my grin, and my
confidence. People also like to ask about my heritage, most of them
being completely unable to tell 'what I am.' It's great watching
people try to wrestle with a PC way to ask me about my race. Upon
first meeting me, people often think I'm very cruel--until they get
used to my sense of humor. I can't tell you how many people tell me
their first impression of me was that I'm "really mean" or
"intimidating" (WTF) only to find out later that I'm a sarcastic
weirdo. And of course people note my height. I'm pretty short.
My favorite books, movies, music, and food
At the risk of sounding girly and immature, my favorite book is
"
The Last
Unicorn", by Peter S. Beagle. It's such a gorgeous, timeless
story, and I adore the writing style. His other books and
compilations are just as memorable and refreshing. My favorite
movies are "Spirited Away" and "
Hero." I must admit a certain affection for
"Brazil," even though it makes little or no sense. Music... hmmm.
Mostly rock--classic, metal, and indie. My favorite CD is
"
By The Way" by
the
Red
Hot Chili Peppers. I also love the
Foo Fighters,
Muse, and
A Perfect Circle. As for
food... carrots, fruit, and rich dishes like lasagna and prime rib.
But not raw tomatoes. Ever, ever, ever. ::shudder::
The six things I could never do without
Showers, food, water, shelter, stimulating conversation, and
romance. In no particular order. If there were an option #7, I
think I'd have to put video games.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
My future.
On a typical Friday night I am
There is no such thing as a typical Friday night.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit here
Um. Nothing. I'll tell you things if I like you.
You should message me if
You're sweet, articulate, interesting, and fun to talk to. I love
intelligent conversation, but that doesn't mean you need to compile
an academic program for me--I'm a student, I can get that any time.
If that's really your thing, though, I'm a big fan of passive solar
design. ALSO: please do not message me if you are looking for a
relationship or someone to flirt with. I'm engaged to the man I
love and this status is not open for negotiation. I DO NOT respond
to woos, regardless of whether you seem like someone I could like.
If you want to befriend me, message me. If you want to hook up,
seek someone else.
