My self-summary Propose an edit

I'm stubborn, scatty, and clumsy. Yay for honesty!

I get angry fairly easily but when I need to I have the patience of a saint (see What I'm doing with my life).

I've got the intellectual smarts but when it comes to general 'with-it-ness' I suck. Means I usually come across as pretty dumb.

Also quite a pushover. People have been known to walk all over me. I'm working on this cos I hate it.

It's not all bad though! I'm cheery (when I'm not being angry!), trustworthy, loyal to the people who matter and reliable.

I like the simple stuff like duvet days, washing up liquid bubbles, buying shoes, Bailey's hot chocolates after a long day, and reading good books in squashy armchairs.

I should have been a teenager in the 80s.

Attention seeking, arrogance and bad manners really really annoy me.

People piss me off for innumerable reasons. Don't get me wrong, I love some of them, there are a lot of awesome ones. But the overwhelming majority seem to suck.

I like to pick the cheese and toppings off the top of pizza.

What I'm doing with my life Propose an edit

Post-English degree, I've just started learning how to teach small people all that important stuff that makes them well-rounded human beings (i.e. that noble, noble profession that is primary school teaching).

Also work in a bookshop part time for extra pennies.

I'm really good at Propose an edit

Listening, daydreaming, being a lightweight, dancing like a lunatic, making cheese on toast, speaking before thinking, fancy dress and sleeping. But not all at once. Unless it's a very special occasion.

My favorite books, movies, music, and food Propose an edit

a) I like very little new stuff. Really can't be doing with all this postmodern,metafiction malarky. Prefer good old fashioned novels with some substance to them! Specially Victorian stuff. Though I'm quite partial to a bit of Jasper Fforde. Also a LOTR fiend, and I'm one of those sad acts who was out at midnight to get most of the Harry Potter books.

b) Not fond of things that are overly philosophical or 'challenging'. I watch movies to relax and the last thing I want to be when I'm trying to chill out is challenged. Favourites include Benny & Joon, Nightmare Before Christmas, Knocked Up, LOTR Trilogy, The Little Mermaid, Scream Trilogy and Pirates of the Carribean (only the first one though, the other two were travesties).

c) As far as music is concerned, Brand New are gods. Aside from that, I have a pretty broad taste, at the minute mostly loving Placebo, Nine Inch Nails, The Faint, Rammstein, Frank Turner, Hope Of The States and Ok Go. Probably shouldn't admit it but lately I've had a worrying tendency towards really bad emo pop (read: Avril Lavigne, Hellogoodbye, Plain White T's etc)

d) Give me curry and I will love you forever. Love cheesy chips and chicken and sweetcorn pizza too, but I'm trying to healthy up a bit at the minute, so it's all stir frys (fries?) and pasta and stuff with veg.

Most often in my room doing uni work. The joys of student life! Either that or chilling with beer, pizza and movies with my favourite people.
