My Self-Summary

I am a slightly otherworldly free spirit. Happily married and happily exploring. I like to experience life with all my senses and with a slightly archaic sense of romanticism from too much Tolkien and Jane Austen. Thus, I am often overwhelmed by my schedule which I can't seem to resist packing full. I love the moments of connection that come with learning, either to people or ideas. I am delving into energy work (via reiki and a rather pagan version of unitarianism). I sing in a community choir and I occasionally get sucked into wildly impractical artistic projects.

What I’m doing with my life

I'm currently working in health informatics, president of a community (ie LGBT etc.) choir and am teaching & practising reiki.

I’m really good at

I love the sensuous nature of life: good restaurants or cooking, great music, rich fabrics to play dress-up, kissing. So I'm good at connecting to these things, these experiences, to energy; being empathic and through that reiki.

If I'm in a great mood, you'll notice my enthusiasm about life and energetic chatting. If I'm feeling shy you might notice my smile or clothes.

My favorite books, movies, music, and food

Books: fantasy (Tolkien, Fionavar Tapestry, Heralds of Valdemar, Kushiel's Dart) or science fiction (Crystal Singer), perhaps some mystery or delightfully trampy lesbian romance (Radcliffe).

Movies: Historical (Queen Elizabeth), sappy (Remains of the Day, Moulin Rouge) or geeky (Trek).

Music: almost everything though these days I'm fond of relaxing female artists (Jann Arden, Pink).

Food: I love food I can't make at home (not too spicy) Etheopian, Indian, Thai, Sushi.
