Gotcha! lol... Seriously, I'm a work in progress. I make every effort to take good care of myself, I have a pretty good idea of what I want in life, and I'm fairly self sufficient. What is it I've read in some guy's profiles? Oh, yeah: low maintenance and low drama! (Is any woman truly low drama... lol...)

What I'm looking for is someone I can laugh and cry with, and over time, develop my love for a lifetime, that one warm person to share my stories with, and buy matching rocking chairs with... Good grief, I sound like a Hallmark card! lol...

I'm a single mum with two wonderful blessings living at home. My oldest is a thriving and successful USMarine.

After being married to an American (Was I CRAZY?) and trying to make a life in the US on my own, I've finally seen the light and I'm COMING HOME! I'm a social worker, doing direct service work with the elderly. I love my work. Hopefully, there are seniors in Winnipeg...

I do go to church weekly, but I consider myself more spiritual than religious. I have a healthy group of friends that I love spending time with, and my family is important to me, which is a HUGE part of the reason I'm coming home.

I'm great with people, which is why I love social work. Dogs, babies and old people LOVE me, which I consider to be a huge character indicator! lol... I also love to SING!!!! I wish I had pursued it professionally, but my life took a different turn very early on. I still do it as often as I can, at church or karaoke, or just doing chores around the house. Drives my kids nuts! Seems like, no matter what they say, I can think of a line from a song. It's a great torture tactic. lol...

I think I may have found the perfect new venue for my self declared 'talent'. My patients/clients LOVE it when I sing! THIS IS SO MUCH FUN!!

Physically - probably my eyes. (But I've been told I have pretty great curves too. lol... )
Intellectually - I'm not afraid to share my opinion, which sometimes comes across as arrogant, but I don't mean it to.
Emotionally - I'm a very accepting person, emotionally 'available'. (Oh brother! Talk about bringing your work home, that even SOUNDS like something a social worker would say! lol...)

Wow... Favourites? Well, right now I try to keep up with whatever the kids are reading. I want to know what's going into those impressionable young minds... I love a good novel, but I'm into the 'self-help' kinda stuff too. I like so many different things that I don't have a 'favourite' anything, really.
Loved Matrix, Liar Liar, the Charmed series, Pride & Prejudice, White Christmas (and a bunch of other old muscial type films)... It's a real hodge podge.
In terms of music, I have a very eclectic passion which includes old rock & roll, new age, some folksie stuff like Norah Jones, and the old crooner stuff like Rosemary Clooney and Dean Martin.... Actually my voice is kind of a Norah-meets-Rosemary combination, sultry with a touch of soul...
Food, well, food.... I love food! Indian, Thai, Mexican, Chinese, Italian, Mongolian, Mediterranean... Talk food to me! What a turn on... lol...

My children - does that count as three?? Ok, probably not...
My family - yeah, good luck trying to get rid of them! lol...
My ethics - integrity is very importand to me, helps me keep going in the right direction both personally and in my career.
MUSIC! It soothes the savage beast. Unless of course you LIKE a savage beast...
Chocolate - doesn't every woman have this in her list?
Sex - Oh, c'mon... You were thinking it too... (Oh, wait, that's seven...)

I think about my kids and their health and safety, especially my Marine. Have I given her everything she needs to succeed??
I think about my profession, where I'm going, what the future holds for me and the people I serve... Deep thoughts...
OH! And of course, sex. And chocolate. But not together. Well... hmmm...

Can't wait for summer! We really like to go to the drive in! When the kids are with me, Friday night is family night. Popcorn, movies, games, just being together. When they are at their dad's, it's never the same. I try to get out with friends, maybe catch a highschool football game, chat in the online forums...

Some of my Friday nights are spent working.

I don't really have many secrets, besides the bodies buried in the back yard... They say they don't know what happened to Haffa....
