I would be a Ravenclaw. --Though I was surprised/disappointed that there were no Ravenclaw deatheaters.

I am an excruciatingly busy girl so if it's a long time between messages please don't take it personally, I rarely sign on..
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
Finished my BFA in English and now working on my MA in the same

Just got my certificate to teach English as a foreign language over the summer so I can get the Hell out of here after graduation. My goal, ultimately, is to travel.

...I was almost a pilot once. Seriously
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
writing essays (even if I am sick to death of it), making homemade pizza, driving, skin care, listening to tracks be honest I never really thought about it extensively enough to be able to make a list
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
Hair, motorcycle. The double take people do when they realize it's a chick on a motorcycle never gets old...floral pants heighten this effect

So many books. Will list series/authors in the interest of time/space:

F. Scott Fitzgerald, Margaret Atwood, The Chronicles of Narnia, old Hollywood biographies (particularly Hedy Lamarr's and Esther Williams'), David Sedaris, Sloane Crosley, Harry Potter, Virginia Woolf, The Egyptian Book of the Dead, Ernest Hemingway (really just The Sun Also Rises), T.S. Eliot, Wilfred Owen, Neil Gaiman, Sylvia Plath, Lord Byron, comic books (Wonder Woman, Batman/Catwoman, The Flash, Archie, et al, really I'll read any comic), the occasional magazine: Time, Newsweek, Surfer (I don't like anything enough to have a subscription to it but I'll read it if it's there) anything about the Titanic

I hate 97% of the poetry I read..

Movies: Wizard of Oz, James Bond, Cohen Bros, Tarantino, Wong Kar Wai, David Lynch, Miyazaki, old Disney, Star Wars (trilogy over episodes), Idiocracy, The Royal Tenenbaums, etc and so forth. I'll watch most anything once

Music: I like at least a few things from every possible genre except country.

I used to be in a psychedelic grunge band:
(those are mostly recordings taken in our practice space, but the first 3 are from the as-yet unmastered and unreleased EP)

Most of my tastes idle around the 1990s, or the 60s...
Smashing Pumpkins, Nirvana, Pink Floyd, Buddy Holly, The Beatles, Metric, Bassnectar, Skrillex, The Beach Boys, Depeche Mode, NIN, Metallica, Radiohead, Death, David Bowie...really too many to name
Tchaikovsky (I have an obscene amount of vinyl renderings of The Nutcracker, I buy most every one I find)
Ludwig Van

Food: I go through phases. Am really into making my own flatbread BLTs at the moment

TV: I don't really watch TV, not having cable...but I like DVDs of shows--Metalocalypse, South Park, Downton Abbey, Aeon Flux, Daria, Twin Peaks, Boardwalk Empire, Twilight Zone, Dexter (seasons 1-3, f*** everything after that), I Love Lucy
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
1) a bathtub
2) my cats
3) something good to read
4) a loofah/deoderant/moisturizer/a small amount of good perfume
5) a trip to look forward to
6) a nap
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
Other places in the world. Other time periods, particularly WWI/the 20s. The next meal. Schrodinger's cat. Movie scenes, particularly black and white ones. Death.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
working. But if I'm not I might be out with friends or doing homework. My internal life is way more interesting to me than anything that actually happens.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
On my better days I like to think I'm the female reincarnation of either Buddy Holly or Howard Hughes
