My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
Hey! Nice to meet you. I'm one of the most open-minded and tolerant people you'll meet. I'm smart, but not condescending. People tell me I'm a lot of fun to be around. I don't sweat the small stuff, and I'm always considerate of others' thoughts and aware of the situation.

It's important to me to remove complications and stress from my life. I know people who invite many burdens into their life, and I always wonder why.

I love food. I greatly appreciate fine cuisine, but can also dig into a delicious burrito from Chipotle. One of the first things I do when I visit a new city is look up some awesome restaurants to try out, and one of my favorite activities with friends is treating ourselves to deliciousness.

At the same time, I do watch what I eat. I'm not "health-obsessed", but I would say I'm health-conscious. I may be a foodie, but I don't want to get so huge that I implode like a dying nerdstar.

I describe myself as young at heart. I take care of responsibilities, but I can't give up the part of me that looks in wonder at things in the civilized world, the part that drives my passion. It also means I can put up with all the trade spammers in WoW chat...

Everybody tells me I'm attractive, funny, a good catch, all that stuff. It's all completely true. I even tell myself that all the time. Ok, not really.

I am versatile, quick-witted, and genuine
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
I entertain myself endlessly. I also have my dream job: I'm a video game programmer. I get up every morning and never feel like I'm going to work. No, we don't just play games all day ;).

I have degrees in Genetics and Computer Science, and had a blast getting them both. Yes, I sat in the front row in most of my classes.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
Solving complex problems, video games, remembering important things, remembering useless things, paying attention to people, being tactful, scarfing down mushroom-swiss burgers.
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
Either my height, or my eyes, or the fact that I hate shaving and sometimes only do it like once a week...
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food

These are all brief lists. I have many favorites, but walls of text are liable to cause injury.

a) Jeanne Cavelos' Technomage trilogy, Ender's Game, Flowers for Algernon. I'm a huge fan of well-developed plot twists.

b) Lord of the Rings, The Matrix, Star Wars (yes, the trinity). Team America and Austin Powers are my favorite comedies. I love going out to see movies, and I often catch up on missed shows by renting or through On Demand.

b.5) TV: Family Guy, South Park, Simpsons, Futurama, Arrested Development, Top Chef. In the 90s I watched a lot of science fiction, but it just hasn't been as good lately. I do like a lot of the new BSG though.

c) Muse, Moby, Nightwish, Hans Zimmer, Yasunori Mitsuda, Orbital... my favorite music has many layers that all work together to achieve sonic perfection. Apparently I also like modal harmonies. Thank pandora.com for that analysis :).

d) I love all kinds of food. Sushi and a medium-rare filet mignon are always good, and my favorite restaurant is Fearing's in uptown Dallas. I strike a balance between going with foods I've enjoyed before and experimenting with new (sometimes even scary) menu items.

The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
Computers (or internet), movies, central air, games, great food, cool cars.

Naturally, I'm not answering this in terms of basics like "water" or "family and friends".
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
I think about my life, where I want it to go, and where it might actually take me.

I often think about how human interaction sometimes doesn't make very much sense.

I think about numbers all the time. I form patterns out of words, images, everything. I'm doing that as I type this, wtf!
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
Plotting, with fingers steepled and eyebrows furrowed.

If not that, I'm very often out with friends doing something. It could be going out to dinner, seeing a midnight show at the Inwood, invading a friend's place for beers or wine and playing games, grabbing coffee someplace cool, or whatever.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I'm thinking more along the lines of Corporal.

(40 million bonus points if you got that)
