I am Musical, Geeky, and Funny.

My Self-Summary

Hey hey, my name is Tom and I'm a 26 year old pharmacy technician. I was born in New Jersey, and then moved to Florida at the age of 14. I've recently moved to Lenoir City, and am working in Knoxville. I'm now in the process of trying to figure out where everything is (Thank you GPS!) and what there is to do. I do have to say it's a welcome change, coming from an area where the majority of the population is backed by Medicare. After a couple of (relatively unsuccessful) stints with college, I have an associates degree but an unclear idea of where I want to go next.
I'm an avid sports fan. I've followed Philly teams for as long as I can remember..and even though I'm not the biggest fan of basketball, I still hold out hope that my Sixers can come up with a miracle at some point! I follow football, hockey, and baseball all very closely and I am still very much in shock that the Phillies won the World Series last year...miracles in fact DO occur.
I've been told that I'm a pretty funny person. I tend to be pretty sarcastic about things, but when the time comes that I need to take things seriously and/or talk about a serious situation, I'm certainly up to the task.
I'm probably not the most athletic person you'll ever meet. I do bowl very well, and enjoy getting out and throwing a few games a couple of times per week. Quarter night + a couple drinks = a pretty fun night!
Growing up I played piano and violin, though I'm fairly out of practice on both now. I'd like to get back to the piano, but I guess only time will tell, on that one.

What I’m doing with my life

Right now I'm trying to figure out how to take my life to that next happy place. I have a steady job right now, and I'm eternally grateful for that. I definitely don't take that for granted, though. I'm aware of the state of the nation and I'm hoping to find a way to get myself back into school to finish up my 4 year degree and give myself a more solid foundation to work from.

I’m really good at

I'm a really good bowler, and I enjoy video games a lot. I'm especially fond of games like Guitar Hero or, more recently, Rock Band as they provide hours of fun for a group of people. Yeah, I guess I'm a geek..but I'm a coordinated one!

The first things people usually notice about me

Most people probably find me very quiet and reserved at first impression. I don't always come right out and talk to people until I'm comfortable or get to know them better. After I do, though? Look out! I enjoy a good conversation, and I'm a really good listener, too.

My favorite books, movies, music, and food

I'm not too picky on food, and my music taste is pretty varied as well. I don't get too much into country, but that's not to say I won't give it a listen. I do prefer rock / alternative the most, I think. As far as books go, I like to read things based on history and I also enjoy fantasy novels. I'd never be able to pick an absolute favorite of any of these, nor a movie. My DVD collection is currently expanding and it includes many genre's, I could never pick just one as the best.

The six things I could never do without

Friends, Music, Video Games, Bowling, Computer, Our Dogs

I spend a lot of time thinking about

What I want to do with my life. I really want to finish up with school so that I can move on, but at the same time I'm afraid that if I rush it, I may make some huge mistake along the way.

On a typical Friday night I am

Working! Save me from me! Haha. On the Fridays that I'm not at work late, I try to catch a movie or hang out with a buddy to have a couple drinks or just kill time. Anything to get out, really.

The most private thing I’m willing to admit here

I'm probably gonna have to save this one for conversation. Remember the whole quiet and reserved bit?

You should message me if

If you find anything here about me appealing or even if you want to let me know of how horrible of a person I am, I'll be happy to listen! I'm easy to talk to, promise.
