My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
Generally I am looking for any excuse to spend time outside or I'm cooking greens and whatever crazy veg the farmer's market offers up this week. Don't let my fondness for eating plants confuse you though, I'm also in the midst of finding the best burgers and pizza around.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
Getting stronger and more flexible every day. Recently received certification as a Registered Nurse, so on to the next adventure! While I seek a new job in nursing I'm also striving to maintain a sense of balance in my life by exploring Arizona's cooler destinations and the roads in between here and there.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
Finding out what's around the next corner...and the next.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Help your potential matches find common interests.
Currently reading: The Clock-work Bird Chronicle (He sees depth too often missed, Murakami), Zone One (Post Zombie Apocalypse Reconstruction in America, Whitehead), and a metric ton of nursing text books.
Formative reads: Ender's Game, The Giving Tree, Guns Germs and Steel, A People's History of the United States

Flicks I've enjoyed: Shawshank Redemption, Clerks, Princess Bride, Blazing Saddles, Pi

Tunes: Far too many to list but I generally prefer original expression of soul. Copycats need not apply. Studio pop is only good for night clubs at which you'll rarely find me. I like it when an artist matches my mood or delves into an experience that reflects aspects of my life.

Ever had the feeling that an artist is expressing your mind better than you can?
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
Let's label Maslow's basics as my six "things". I'm a pretty resourceful guy- the threat of doing without doesn't scare me.
I do have a particular affinity for a sense of progress. I'm under no delusions of having discovered the end-all-be-all. I prefer to enjoy this journey we're on; so long as I feel like I'm still moving forward there's no "thing" that holds the power to bring me down.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
Travel: Where to next? Is there a place I'd rather live?
Food: My eyes only wander to the table next to us to check out their plates.
Politics: Is there really a struggle between Freedom and Justice?
Religion: What was before the Big Bang? Even if the LHC finds the God Particle I'll still want to know Why? not just How?...
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
It's been a long time since I was held to a 9-to-5, Monday-to-Friday schedule. I really prefer weekday nights. The crowds are smaller.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I'm Ex-military and currently trying hard to find my way back to a sustainable sense of balance.
