To be honest with you I never thought I would use a dating site, but here I am on Okcupid!

When meeting new people I tend to put them at ease with a fairly soft demeanor and non judgmental attitude. I try to put others first and I always think win-win. If we can both walk away from a social interaction feeling happy and validated, then I've accomplished my goal. I can be shy, but if I like you I'll open up pretty quickly. And I like most people!

Right now I'm focusing on volunteer work as a way to build my resume and reach out to my community. I am also going to school this fall for some upgrading, and then hopefully college. My philosophy is that the sky is the limit if you believe in yourself and you push your boundaries.

Making other people laugh, listening, and thinking dynamically with an open mind. I like to read people and adapt to their style so that I can communicate with them efficiently. My philosophy is to seek to understand, and then to be understood.

Probably that I'm shy. Sometimes I don't even look people in the eyes, haha. But if I like you then I get over that pretty quickly.

Books: The Road, Change Your Brain, Change Your Life, The 7 Habits of Highly Effective People. And Swimming in the Monsoon Sea by Shyam Selvadurai is one of my favorite books. That's a wonderful coming of age story.

Relationships, friends, the future, what makes us who we are. I like to get lost in my imagination.

I'm content being solitary most of the time, so I usually stay in and chat with friends, do research on various topics, and sometimes watch TV. But I love going out and doing fun stuff when I get the chance!
