I am eclectic by nature and have many pursuits and interests including outdoor activities (biking, hiking, camping, boating), cooking, antiquing, reading, gardening, dancing, photography, gold panning, skating….just about anything at least once.
I also enjoy attending music and cultural events, museums, plays, experiencing exotic restaurants and travel, including exploring new places.
I love being active and am dedicated to healthy living which includes visiting the gym regularly. I am excited about experiencing life’s offerings and those wonderful opportunities that present themselves.

MY JOB
I was a U.S. Park Ranger with the National Park Service and worked last at Chesapeake and Ohio Canal National Historical Park as a Land Resources Officer. This involved working with all land-related issues including park planning. I worked there and at other locations around the nation for the Department of the Interior, National Park Service for 35 years.
In retirement, I currently work part time at the Virginia State Arboretum.
MY EDUCATION
I have a Bachelor degree in Geology from the State University of New York at Plattsburgh and am was working towards a Masters in Park and Recreation Management (emphasis on Tourism) at George Mason University. I also attended a Merchant Marine College for two years which gave me a taste for adventure.
I am gregarious, sincere, and trustworthy.
