I'm into medieval history, and am a
member of the Society for
Creative Anachronismor SCA. I am a heavy weapons fighter, that
means I dress up in armor and hit people with sticks :)
I never know what to put in these type of things. I like music, I
have a fairly eclectic music collection by most standards, ranging
from classic
rock to Japanese meditation
music to Diamanda Galas. I like to spend
time outdoors and I've been told that I'm getting pretty good with
nature photography.
I hunt, and therefore
own firearms. I
work in a non-profit mental health clinic in Detroit doing I.T.. I
am fascinated by history and archaeology. I have made fire by
using a bow and stick. I was attacked by a bear. That sucked. I am
afraid of heights. But I try to work on that. My laptop dual boots
Linux and Windows.
I'm looking for a woman who is smart, likes the outdoors, would
rather watch the History channel or Discovery channel than most
anything on else on TV. Preferably a pagan or someone who doesn't
care if I am.

My self-summary
What I'm doing with my life
I've just moved out of a house into an apartment. I am trying to
lose weight. I studied kung fu but my situation changed and I
had to leave the school, I will probably be starting Isshin-ryu
karate soon. I've grown sick of neo-paganism, and started
attending church (Episcopalian).
I'm really good at
Computers
(hardware and networking). Keeping secrets. Miscellaneous useless
knowledge, i.e. I can tell you what Gen Mcauliffe told the Germans
when they demanded his surrender at Bastogne. I do not know or care
who won last season's American Idol or Survivor. Seriously I just
couldn't care less about reality TV. Anyhow, I've been told that
I'm a good listener
The first thing(s) people usually notice about me
I'm overweight. That's hard not to notice. I have a beard and
glasses. I think that's it. I'd have to ask other people for a
better answer.
My favorite books, movies, music, and food
I like almost all books about history and archaeology. I like sci-fi and
fantasy to a lesser degree. I also like the works of Robert Anton
Wilson. My single favorite band is The Who or perhaps Led Zeppelin although I am
going through a Kinks phase right now. I love Thai, and
like Indian, Chinese, and Mexican food. I can't think of any movies
that really made an impression on me. Hmm, perhaps Fight Club and Maybe Logic.
The six things I could never do without
Music. Books. My Cat. Friends. History Channel. My Computer
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Governmental Idiocy. History. Hunting and shooting. How I
got where I am and what I can do better.
